SteveBeaujacks
Hi all, I have a nice red Mission EP1-L6 expression pedal that has become unstable. When I use it with my HXFX and look using HX Edit, the software-registered position is unstable, it moves up and down rapidly without touching the pedal. It's quite old, from 2011, and used quite a lot. Could the potmeter be worn out? If so, does anyone know a good address for a replacement potmeter without sending the whole thing off to the USA for repair? (I live in the Netherlands, so USA is not handy...). Thanks, Steve
Schmalle
It can be the potentiometer, it can also be a loose contact in the pedal. It can also be a defective cable - make sure that's not the case before sending it to repair.

Hi, Steve, If you need to replace the pot in your EP1-L6, and you can use a soldering iron, it’s not a big job. If you don’t feel up to it, have a local electronics repair shop do the job. It’s not major surgery and the part you require is a 10K Ohm Linear Potentiometer. Also check the other things mentioned by @Schmalle in the post above. You don’t really need to be getting involved with international shipping for a little variable resistor. Hope this helps/makes sense.
