Jae1978
I've been working with Workbench HD and I've been creating my own settings but one of the settings has 2 notes on two of the strings. I'm looking in Workbench and I'm not seeing any of the 12 string settings activated. Anybody run into this?
silverhead
Are the strings that have the two notes the same two strings that are detuned? If so it’s likely a perception issue due to physics. What you are hearing is both the detuned note as well as the vibrations of the physical string itself, tuned normally. It’s a common misperception. To verify try using closed headphones or recording a part. In those cases you will not hear the physical string vibration.
psarkissian
It's called 'Dual Tone Effect'. Hearing standard tuning coming off the guitar and the Alt Tune out of the amp at the same time. Headphones are useful, or turning up the amp to hear the Alt Tune better will minimize it.
Jae1978
Thanks again psarkissian. I've narrowed it down to the pedal I was using.
