Expression pedal calibration

Various users have raised issues with inaccurate calibration of expression pedals - for example on Helix FX when using pitch whammy which will not return to 0% on heel down (despite applying all the various fixes/suggestions made on the fora). This makes this function largely unusable in a live gig. Are Line 6 able to do something to address this issue please?

That question can only be answered by someone from Line6 Support.

This is NOT Line6 Support.

This is a Line6 sponsored user-to-user support forum.

No one from Line6 hangs out here.

MY question to YOU is, are YOU having a problem?

Have YOU contacted support and worked with a support rep to solve YOUR problem?

OR is this a rhetorical question designed to stir the pot?

I am actually having this issue but with swells. I am contacting support for it but it would be interesting to know if someone had this issue was able to fix it and pass along that knowledge to the rest of us.

My specific problem is on my Helix Floor. The expression pedal for swells cuts in hard at 30% "volume" instead of easing in gently from 0% like it used to. I noticed this when I upgraded to 3.80.0. During worship services, I usually will do swells with shimmers quietly while pastor is talking and I had no issues. But since that update, it cuts in hard and I can really hear it in the IEM and it's bad. I have not tweaked anything at all and I checked how the volume was set for swells in the chain and it's fine. Both pedal boards do it (we also have a church Helix Floor). So I will taking my woes to Line6 support but if I find a solution on my own while waiting on their reply, I will be sure to report it here so others can fix this on their units.

Check whether you've accidently Bypass Assigned the Volume block to the expression pedal. If you're not sure post the patch.

When you select the Volume block: do you actually see the Position parameter jump from 0% to 30% and then move higher smoothly?

If so then it's very likely a (common) mechanical issue.

Try tightening the M10 screw accessable on the side of the Helix. That is the axis of the expression pedal.

If that doesn't help let it be repaired or - at your own risk - repair it yourself:
