danfzx14
I I have a marshall dsl40cr and a line 6 power cab 112 Plus. Typically I use the pod HD 500x with the built-in amplifiers to drive the Line 6 power cab plus or I run the Marshall using the effects patches I have set up but I do this separately meaning I either use the power cab or the Marshall not both. I'm curious if I can use the Line 6 pod built-in amplifiers to drive the Line 6 power cab 112 Plus but also use the Line 6 output of another channel with the Marshall using the effects only patches I have set up. Meaning I would like to run them both at the same time but I would only like to use the amp patches for the power cab and then I'd like to use the effects patches with the Marshall. I have not been able to figure this out so I don't know if it's possible. I figured I'd ask the smart people here. I really hope this makes sense. pianoguyy
It can be done, but it won't be easy. You are basically going to be running two separate paths - aka, stereo, panned full left and full right.

But there is also a different solution which does not imply changing the panning in the patches, and that is to put an FX LOOP block at the end of the chain for example in the patches that contain only effects, thus doing the POD output in those patches no longer comes out of the standard outputs but instead comes out of the SEND output (which can be in stereo if desired if a TRS cable is used) on the rear panel of the POD. (The SEND output is provided with a physical switch to change its output level to STOMP or the hotter LINE mode). _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
