Kevinmflowers
What is the cheapest option for a pedal that supports helix patches
silverhead
Depends on what you mean by Helix patches. The products differ depending on whether they have one or two DSP processors. Helix Floor, Rack, and LT are dual processor and dual path products meaning they can support more complex, flexible, and powerful presets. HX Stomp/XL is a single processor product. HX FX has no amp/cab modeling. HX One supports only one FX at a time. Presets from the dual processor products may or may not be compatible with the HX Stomp/XL depending on their architecture, and are certainly not compatible with the HX FX or the HX One. The POD Go is another option. It uses Helix technology and has many of the same amp, cab and FX models. While the presets are not directly compatible you can easily recreate many Helix/HX Stomp presets manually.
theElevators
POD Go has an identical processing engine as the Helix. You have all the same blocks as on the big Helix, except some DSP-heavy effects are not supported yet. Also in terms of firmware versions, it's a few versions behind. But I was able to recreate my sound very easily on the Pod Go. The only thing is the tactile switches and the footswitch design is absolute garbage. My review of Pod Go is here:
