kenmac1
My system refuses to let me download 3.80, or skip over to 3.82. I've now wasted hours trying over and over to download / install these files, but it fails to download. I've rebooted the internet, which is working fine anyhow. Swapped the USB lead, to try and eliminate the possibility of these links being faulty, but it still refuses to play the game. Is there a way to download the files to my computer without connecting the Helix, then attach the Helix to transfer the files once they are on my system? lou-kash
Your screenshots look like your Mac is running a MacOS version that is no more supported. HX Edit 3.80+ requires Catalina. But fear not, an intrepid fellow forum member has already figured out a hack that works: On 2/11/2025 at 1:43 PM, kenmac1 said: Is there a way to download the files to my computer without connecting the Helix, then attach the Helix to transfer the files once they are on my system? You can still use the Line 6 Updater and download and install the new firmware manually: https://line6.com/software

Hi, When all else fails, this has usually worked for folks having installation issues. Remember, this was put together a few years back now, so any reference to version numbers will need to be substituted with the latest versions. Trust us, this usually works. Hope this helps/makes sense.

kenmac1
I would have hoped so, but obviously not for me.

Without the updater install, this thing is dead in the water, again / still.
kenmac1
Finally seems to be installing. Had to go via a backdoor route to make the software install. Lots of screwing around, multiple failed attempts but red line on mac screen counting through, , and update message on the Floor unit. Cheers Groovers, and Gurus.

This is fully documented in the “Helix/HX Update Doesn’t Work? Look Here!” link that I posted earlier. I even put a link back to the Apple Support page regarding the Apple Security issues. Just in case anyone else missed it:- https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445 Hope this helps/makes sense.
