CarbonArk
I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm over-looking a setting but here's the deal I'm on 3.80, and I've tested this in a brand new patch where PolyPitch is the only block. all the settings are default except for two 1. The Interval, which is set to 0. 2. The Shift Time, which is set to 1000ms I've linked the interval to expression pedal 2, so that the minimum is 0 and the maximum is +12. What i'm expecting is that when i push the pedal down the pitch will take 1 second to shift to a full octave higher, (this works perfectly) and when I life the pedal up it should take 1 second to return to the original pitch...and this is where it goes completely wrong - instead of it taking 1 second to return to the original pitch, it takes 12 seconds. and it doesn't seem to matter what I set the shift time to, going up in pitch works fine, going down in pitch always takes ~10x longer to complete the shift. (I've attached screenshots of the settings in the patch) So, Bug? Or have I got some global setting hidden somewhere that needs fixing? rd2rk
From Craig Anderton's "Big Book of Helix Tips and Tricks": "Poly Pitch doesn’t do anything unless you enable or bypass it. When enabled, the pitch slides up based on the Interval parameter (fig. 4.5). For example, if Interval is +12 and you enable the effect, the pitch changes to an octave higher. It’s like hitting a chord on a steel guitar, and then moving the bar up an octave. The slide’s duration depends on the Shift Time parameter (0.0 to 8.00 seconds). For example, a 500 ms setting would take half a second to transpose from the original pitch to the new one. Bypassing the Poly Pitch triggers the Return Time. This sets the time for the transposed pitch to return to the original pitch." This book is well worth the investment.
CarbonArk
okay, doesn't really address what i'm experiencing though. Why would shifting a pitch down, whilst the block is engaged, take 12x longer than any of the settings indicate it should take?
theElevators
Um, I don't think this block was meant to be used as a Digitech Wham. There's a "wham" block for that.

Maybe that's not the way it was intended to be used?
