HX Stomp as a MIDI Controller for Helix Native

I'm trying to use my HX Stomp to do some simple things such as snapshot changes and block bypasses in Helix Native running on a Logic Pro 10 DAW.  In my set up, I have HX Stomp performing as an audio interface feeding dry guitar signal to the DAW on USB channels 1 and 2.  I've configured the HX Stomp foot switches to transmit the appropriate MIDI codes but cannot figure out how to get them to the track in Logic Pro running Native.  I know you have to set up a MIDI track in Logic Pro to receive and transmit the MIDI information to the guitar track.  This is where I have trouble.  All the tutorials on YouTube about doing this are circa 2018 that used older versions of Logic Pro, HX, and Native that are quite different.  I can't get the MIDI codes to the guitar track.  Any help would be appreciated.
