  1. Is anyone here pretty experienced with automating preset and snapshot changes inside Logic Pro X? I’m having an issue with automating the changes to while sending hotkey messages to control Logic. Curious if my problem is in command center or in the setup of the midi track within Logic. Hotkeys work perfectly until I start to automate patch / snapshot changes. As soon as I add the automation track, the hotkeys glitch out. I've also used MIDI notes instead of hotkeys and still encounter the same issue. So, for example. I’ve got hotkeys set up for play, stop, cycle, next marker, and previous marker. Momentary switches. Works perfectly without issue. Then I add the automation track. When I hit the play button on the Helix, the button acts like a latching button and causes the whole project to glitch out. Only way to fix it is to turn off the Helix and restart Logic. Hopefully I’ve explained this in a semi-understandable way haha thanks in advance for any advice on how to fix this!
  2. I'm not sure the best way to explain this so I'll do my best. I'm using the Helix Floor to control Logic Pro X. Mostly using Hotkeys but sometimes I send MIDI notes from it as well. Most of the time, it works perfectly. However, every now and then, the message I'm sending from the Helix to Logic will stick, as if it were set to "latching" instead of "momentary". So, for example, if I sent a message to Logic to start playback, it glitches out and starts playing the first .01 seconds of the song continuously until I go in change the message it's sending (which is the only way I've figured out how to stop it after it starts). Has anyone else encountered this problem or maybe have any advice on how to prevent this altogether? I'm primarily using this in a live setting which makes this situation very nerve-wracking. Thanks so much!
  3. If I run the helix into an audio track in Logic Pro X and use a level meter would this be a good way to at least get presets to be close to each other? I have the audio track blank so there isn't any processing going on. If this is a decent way to meter, what dB do you think would be good to aim for?
  4. I installed a trail version of Helix Native 1.91 about 10 days ago and it worked up to now, but since today the plugin does not open and Logic gets stuck - so I have to Force Quite the application. In a thread it was suggested to delete the installation files and reinstall - it did it several times without success. The internet connection is fine, as I also downloaded the installation file and checked the MD5 hash. I also tried with another DAW (tracktion), but same behaviour. What I deleted before reinstallation: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Line 6 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Helix Native.component /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Line 6 (did not exist) /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Line 6/* /Library/Application Support/Line 6/*
  5. Logic Pro X 10.5 - Helix Native Issues Since upgrading to the newest version of Logic Pro X 10.5, my Helix Native plugin is running horribly slow. I have tried all of my other guitar plugins and they are working perfectly. After lots of testing, it has come down to only Helix Native that is having issues. When changing/dragging blocks, adding new amps/effects, or simply trying to select patches, there is always a delay. Almost as if when you (for instance) try to move a block in the signal chain, it takes a second to realize what you are doing and delays your command. Very annoying and makes it difficult to work quickly. Any clues? Is there a way to uninstall Helix Native and re-install easily on a Mac? It seems that the upgrade to Logic 10.5 has done the damage, but again, only with Helix Native. I am running OS Mojave 10.14.6 and the most current version of Helix Native.

Hi, I am using the UX1 to plug my guitar in to my Mac (I'm on Catalina) to record using logic pro x. It lets me play/record for about 30 seconds and then basically just feeds back one never ending sounding horrible note (no its not my playing, classic lols). I have recently updated my line 6 software & mac, changed cables. All the usual things I can think of but nothing works. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it. Many thanks! Rich
  7. Hi Guys, Wondering if anyone can help. I'm currently using a (mid 2010) 27" iMac (running Mac OS High Sierra 10.3.6) with my guitars going through a UX1, to write and record tracks through Logic Pro X (10.4.7). I use Toontrack products (EzDrummer 2 through a MIDI controller for my drums and EzMix for VSTs to colour my guitar di tracks. I was running El Capitan which was working fine for ages..... then. Tracks are being recorded way too hot, even though I have reduced the output gain on my UX1 and on the track's channel strip that I'm recording to. The resulting wave form clips top and bottom and is way hotter than it's ever been. This happens when I record guitars or bass, so I know it's not the instruments. So I tried updating the driver for my interface, then cables, changed the battery in my guitar as I use active pickups, updated my operating system to first Sierra, but then had to upgrade again to High Sierra to get the update for Logic Pro X to what version it is now. Still no resolution to my recording problems. Is it just a case that my system / computer / interface just getting too old? Have other UX1 had similar issue? Or (more importantly) has anyone found a fix or a workaround. Any help, suggestions or an answer solution would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  8. I'm using Helix Native 1.71 on trial. It works fine for the first time. The next day when i choose Helix Native as plug-in in Garageband or Logic Pro x, both program stopped working( not responding, after 10 mins waiting, had to force quit ), as shown in screenshots.
  9. Hi guys, I've got a question for you. Since this is my first post on this forum I'd like to introduce myself: I am Fed, a guitarist, mixing and mastering engineer from the North of England. I am setting up a live rig with my band: a MacBook running Logic Pro X that controls our lighting system, backing tracks, my Fractal Ax8 and my guitarist's Helix LT. I've read the entire manual, done a bit of trial and error and I've managed to setup all the CC/PC and everything works properly until I move the playhead in Logic (both with the mouse or the hotkeys). Each time I move the playhead the Helix goes on tuning mode, the next time it turns off the tuning mode (and go on and on) without any apparent reason. If I save the Logic project, close the project, open it again and I start it from the top without stopping or moving the playhead at all it works fine, but the first time that I move the playhead it start to act crazy again. Are there some settings I need to change? Has someone got this problem and know how to solve it? What am I doing wrong? I can do a video if it helps you to understand, thank you in advance!
  10. I am using a Line6 KB37 together with Logic X 10.0.7 (OS X 10.9.4). The KB37 (newest drivers and firmware) is my audio in- and output and midi device. Everything works fine except two keys on the KB37 which are not triggering sound (e. g. as a software instrument). It's F3 and B3. Instead of triggering sound some weird movement on the faders are happening. I can trigger those two tones without a problem drawing them into piano roll. Also GarageBand has no problems at all triggering every tone on the KB37. It clearly seems to be a Logic Pro X problem. And my Roland FP-7 masterkeyboard (also connected via USB) triggers all midi notes correctly, too. It very much seems to be a midi-misunderstanding between the KB37 and Logic, but I have no idea where I can map the KB37 correctly. Any ideas how to solve this annoying problem are more than welcome. Thanks, Marc
  11. 1) Launch Logic Pro X, go to 'Logic Pro -> Preferences -> Audio Units Manager'. 2) Make sure Helix Native is in the list and the box is ticked. 3) If Helix Native is not in the list, but the file "HelixNative.components" does exist in the location '/Library/Audio/Plug-in/Components/, please try the steps below: 1. Quit Logic 2. Click on the "Go" Menu in the Finder while holding down (alt) to access the 'username/Library' folder 3. If there is not a HelixNative.component in "username/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components, please copy it from Mac HD/Library -> Audio -> Plugins -> Components and put it into username/Library/Audio/Plug-in/Components/ 4. Move the com.apple.audiounits.chache file o the desktop for backup. 5. Relaunch logic, and see if you can re-scan for plug ins.
  12. Hi folks, Anybody know if the Variax usb interface connected to a Mac would allow Logic Pro x to receive input from the guitar? I am hoping to avoid using a mic. I also have both a firehawk and an amplifi available if one of those is required but I was kind of wanting to just use the guitar directly into the DAW. thanks!
  13. So the way I've been recording is I use the Helix into an interface which then goes into my Mac. On the Helix I have the guitar patch EQ'd and Compressed. I was wondering if I would get better mixing results by bypassing the EQ and Compression on the guitar patch for when I record, and then do the EQ'ing and Compression on my DAW.
  14. I,m using Pod Studio UX1 and I have a problem. When I record my electric guitar in Logic pro the waves are too weak. I can barley see the wave even after normalize. I'm using a Mexican stratocaster and pod farm 2.56.
  15. Though I'd reignite this thread: http://line6.com/support/thread/70425 And ask if anyone who had this problem knows if it goes away in Logic Pro X? I really can't go through the pain of installing it and it not working again - over the last two years I've done that too many times.
