  1. I have a problem that I can't figure out. I'm using a Helix Rack, Presonus 1824c, Reaper, and Native. My problem is that when I choose a preset in Native I also hear a dry signal coming from somewhere. Are there any settings that I might be missing that will allow me to only hear the processed signal?
  2. I updated Native to 3.10 and now have noticed that some of my blocks are missing some of their assignments. For instance I had a expression pedal controlling the delay time on the Cosmos Echo (midi cc4) and a Bypass parameter (midi cc12) working just fine before updating to 3.10. Now the Time parameter is gone and when I add it back it will not save the time parameter, it just disappears when I reload the saved preset! A similar thing is happening with my volume block. In the video you can see that both parameters (bypass & time)are there then after switching back and forth presets the time parameter is gone. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Leroy IMG_1107.MOV
  3. After searching online for info others have on Helix Native crashing DAWs, I found very little on the subject. On my older desktop rig, Helix Native runs fine in my DAWs (Cubase, Reaper and Cakewalk by Bandlab). However, on my newer MSI laptop, Helix Native worked ok for a good while, like a couple of weeks of running it every day, and then for no apparent reason, started to crash when attempting to open it on an already existing track, or when trying to load a new instance on a track. Projects saved with Helix Native previously added would open, and Helix Native would work, as long as I didn't click on the Helix Native to try to open it to make a patch change or something. The DAW (it didn't matter which one) would instantly crash. I did several uninstall-reinstalls of Helix Native, and of Reaper and Cakewalk. I did registry edits to delete helix native entries there after uninstalling. The problem remains. Again, it is interesting that my desktop has never had a problem. It's an older Asrock MB Z87 board running a core i7 with 16gb ram. The laptop is a newer core i7 running 32gb ram. The DAWs all work as they should on both computers. Out of all the other guitar plugins I use (Amplitube, Guitar Rigs, and TH3, I like the basic sound of Helix Native the best, like the amp emulations. I am doing more mobile sessions and need to have Helix Native run on the laptop. Any suggestions or solutions? Maybe get an older version of Helix Native? I'm trying to use the latest one (3. something). Thanks
  4. Hi everyone. I have an Helix Floor and I use to connect my JTV69 on it directly by VDI and record on Logic Pro. sometimes I would like to record or play without my Helix Floor but just With Helix Native and my Variax. The question is : how to connect the Variax by VDI without the Helix Floor ? thank you.
  5. I've figured out how to trigger snapshots, bypass blocks, volume pedal, etc using midi. But I can't figure out, if I download someone's Helix preset that has custom footswitch commands, can I trigger those footswitch commands with Midi in Helix Native at all? Or is this not an option? An example is someone has created a footswitch that turns the gain up on the amp block, or changes the mix level on a reverb.
  6. So the Litigator has been my favorite Helix amp sim for a looooong time. It may have been since last Helix update but I'm hearing a loud hum that I hadn't noticed before - specifically with this amp. I first thought it might be something to do with my Powercab Plus that I updated a few weeks ago but when I tried other amp sims it dissappears. AND I also tested it on Helix NATIVE which also has latest update (unless there's a pretty new one that I've overlooked) and yep - same thing. You certainly couldn't record with it. This has nothing to do with gain or boost pedals. Hums with nothing but amp and cab in signal chain. If I decrease gain/volume enough to make it go away it's unusable. Again, this is the case in both the Helix floor AND Native so it 'appears' to indicate an update issue rather than a hardware issue. I haven't checked every amp sim in the Helix but a lot of them including high gain amps - and it appears to be specifically the Litigator. Waaaaa ... I want my amp back. Anybody else experiencing this or know what's up?
  7. I use HXN for MainStage and Logic. Would like to be able to access the Looping function of HXN with MainStage but it's "greyed out". Am I missing something?
  8. Hello all, Currently I am using an HX effects into an amp. Because I registrered the HX, I got a nice discount on Helix Native. Combined with cyber monday, it was a nice deal. I initially bought Native just for recording stuff, but now that I've experienced the full range of Helix soundscaping, I am thinking about using Native live. To do that, I need an audio interface (already have one), a midi controller (HX Effects could double as one) and a host for the Native plugin. Currently I am using Reaper, but I have read about programs that transform Native into a standalone plugin. VSTHost/Savihost for example. My question: does anyone have good experiences using Native live with either a DAW or another type of host? I already read some sparse info on using midi commands within Reaper, but it seems better to use another type of host that might require less CPU usage than a full-on DAW. Is there a host-type of program that includes midi-commands? I only need to be able to switch between snapshots. Hopefully you guys can help me out.
  9. The two common usage issues seen with Helix Native are: After a full Helix Native license is authorized, Helix Native is in Trial Mode when opened within a DAW. Helix Native is crashing when attempting to open on an audio track within a DAW. What has helped many users in either situation is the following: Disable WiFi Launch your DAW Insert Helix Native on a track. The login page should pop up. Turn on WiFi. When you sign in, Native gets reauthorized. CPU usage: Another common issue that may be noticed on some systems, is Helix Native's CPU usage reading higher percentage than what would be expected. Helix Native is a CPU intensive plug-in, some of our systems show readings between 27-30%, the actual usage meter will vary from system to system. Increasing the H/W playback buffer size, in your DAWs settings that can reduce CPU to a degree.
  10. Hello, I recently purchased a Helix Floor and Helix Native license and am just getting started with using them with my MacBook Pro. Although they are both overkill for my playing/recording needs, I was originally in the market for some high-end effects pedals an Apogee GiO guitar interface, so buying a Helix Floor seemed like a better move so I can take advantage of all of the effects in one portable unit (not to mention all of the other features). The Apogee GiO is an older floor-based guitar USB interface for Mac that has programmable effects stomp buttons along with transport control buttons. It's a plug-n-play device for Macs using Logic Pro X, MainStage, and GarageBand. I ultimately chose the Helix Floor and Helix Native so I could do all of that plus take it with me for use with my Marshall combo amp. I have played around with the Helix Floor and the Helix Native plug-in and I love the common interface and ease-of-use. I have watched several YouTube videos on how to create your own macro buttons so I can use the Helix Floor to Record/Stop/Play, etc.;however, most of what I have seen are running older versions of the software, so the menus are somewhat different. My hope is that someone has built a template that I can use similar to what Apogee offers for their GiO product (they offer pre-built, downloadable templates). I understand how the Helix Native plug-in works with the Apple Pro Audio apps; but I need some help setting my my Helix Floor for basic, home recording use. MacBook Pro running High Sierra (10.13.2 Developer Beta) LogicPro X (10.3.2) MainStage 3 (3.3.2) GarageBand (10.2.0) My needs are very basic as I am just playing around at home. I am running the latest builds of the audio apps and appreciate any advice or feedback you can provide. Thank you so much! David

At the time of writing, presets made with version 2.20 version firmware will be compatible with Helix Native, this primarily means that all of the processing models and blocks will be available. Presets downloaded from CustomTone.com will also be compatible. However, there are some caveats: Input and Output routing will be passing through to the DAW channel in/out. Sending to Path 2A/2B works. Noise Gate is functional from the input block. Variax settings are ignored. Guitar In-Z is ignored. 12. Hey all, If you were waiting for a discount to purchase Helix Native to go with your device, I just wanted to post that there's a 30% sale on software right now in the line6 store. Screenshot attached. For me as new HX Stomp owner it lowers price of Helix Native from $99.99 to $69.99+tax. https://shop.line6.com/
  13. I bought an HX Effects around 2018 but didn't get around to registering it until late 2020. When I originally registered it the offer to buy Native at a reduced price came up, and I intended to take advantage of that. But I haven't been home recording and ended up not trying to action that until yesterday. When I logged on to my account now I'm no longer seeing Native available at the reduced price. I am getting an option to register a device that might entitle me to the discount, but the HX Effects is already registered and that doesn't seem to be triggering the offer. If I try to purchase Native, I'm being asked for full price. I'm not sure what's happening. Has the offer been withdrawn? Or am I meant to be doing something to trigger it? Grateful for any advice.

  15. I am selling my Helix Native. Anybody interested?
  16. Hi Friends, Just got a Macbook Air and got Ableton, Helix Native and a few other apps up and ready to go in relatively short order. The only thing remaining is transferring my tone library from my old laptop to the new one. I can't seem to find a guide on this through the Line 6 Knowledge Base. Can anyone point me in the right direction and/or share a few pointers? I also have a sizable Ownhammer IR collection which are used on many of my tones. Is there a way to transfer both libraries so they stay integrated? Side note: I have the Helix LT which I bought a few years before switching to working mostly through Ableton. I did consider transferring to the LT then from there to my new Mac but figured there must be a faster/more efficient way. Not sure if it's relevant but here's the specs of my old/new devices: Macbook Pro early 2015, Catalina: Has Helix Library + OwnHammer IR's Macbook Air 2021, Big Sur: Ableton and Helix Native are installed/authorized (factory presets only) tl;dr: Looking for info/tips on how to transfer Helix Native Library + OwnHammer IR's to new Mac. Thanks!
  17. Hello! Can the Helix Control be used to control Native via USB? I am looking to play through Native housed in MainStage for live performance. If not, is this likely to come in future updates? What other product can do what I'm looking for? Thanks everyone!
  18. I am selling my Native license for 270 if anyone is interested. Will only deal via PayPal.
  19. Hoping to get some assistance on a persistant issue I've had with Helix Native. I have a constant bit of distortion that I can't get rid of. Here's an example - https://soundcloud.com/derek-eugene/helix-noise This is recorded direct in logic, but it comes through in headphones and monitors as well. I've used a few different interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett, Behringer 204HD, IK Axe I/O, Apollo Twin). This happens with both stock cabs and IRs, the attached clip is using one of the more popular custom patches from the Line 6 site. I don't see any apparent clipping in/out. I've checked the sample rate and it matched between the interface and Logic at 41, and still happens at 48. Any assistance would be awesome!! I love the tones I am getting, aside from that low end distortion. Output 1-2.mp3
  20. Hi, I’ve recently moved to the green side a.k.a. Kemper and have no use for my helix native. if you’re interested in buying, message me!
  21. I use Helix Native w/ an Apogee GIO pedalboard and when I open Helix in the channel strip the Looper effect/feature is grayed out. Is there a way to access this feature in Helix Native? I have transport buttons on the pedalboard that would be perfect for assigning to loop controls. Tks/A
  22. Hello everyone, I would like to buy a licence for Helix Native because I bought an Helix pedalboard (second hand) but I can't register my stuff officialy. No more than 150 please. Thanks
  23. If Helix Native / HX Edit crashes or loads with an empty screen on your Windows computer, check to see that your system drive is assigned to Disk 0. We have seen numerous reports of this working for customers running into this problem, as shown in this forum post: https://line6.com/support/topic/49342-hx-edit-281-and-helix-native-starting-with-with-a-blank-screen-and-crash/?do=findComment&comment=330021 The workaround was found and reported by user Camelot_One, and his post goes into detail on checking your drives and ways to rearrange them so that one of them shows as Disk 0. Microsoft Surface Book/Surface Pro users and HX Edit: Some users have reported that ejecting their internal memory card slot on the Surface book/Surface Pro has helped solve this issue. If HX Edit is having trouble opening, it's a possible work-around.
  24. I welcomed with anticipation the new method of Helix linking its IRs to Presets with what appears to be the IR name (vs the index number in the list of IRs). My understanding of how this is supposed to work, is that once you have specified which IR a preset is based on, the preset is supposed to be smart enough to "find" that preset based on name -- in the list of IRs. I think this is supposed to provide the user the flexibility to rearrange the IRs without worrying about having to re-link the presets to new IR index numbers. I did some testing, and for the most part it, this feature SEEMED to work on my laptop. If you moved an IR, re-clicking on the preset would re-link to the IR in its new location.. I also found that if you deleted an IR, re-clicking the preset would produce an error message. I found however that on a number of occasions that if an IR was deleted, an error message was NOT presented when you re-selected the preset. What happened in this case was that the preset definition had been updated automatically to point to IR number 127 which was empty. In both cases, the name of the preset was lost. (It would have been more useful if this name had been displayed in the error message saying it could not find this IR). In addition, after spending THREE HOURS fixing my presets so they pointed to the proper IRs (they had gotten mixed up in the upgrade)... I created a bundle of my patches as well as some setlists, and then happily went to my second computer, fully expecting that I could just copy in my IRs to Helix Native, and then import my bundle or the setlists -- and then the preset references to the IRs would all sort themselves out... Nope. This did not work. Only about a half of the references to IRs were resolved, even though all my IRs were all copied into Helix Native first. Could anyone please confirm: - has anyone else experienced this bug? - am I doing something wrong: do the IR references not get copied into the bundles and setlists? Do I need to manually export and import each single preset in order to preserve the IR reference? (I certainly hope not! That would be way to much work). If someone from Line6 is reading this, could you please reply and comment on how this new feature (to co-ordinate presets and the IRs they reference) is SUPPOSED to work? Thanks for your help. Richard.
  25. Hi, I'm in doubt of buying Helix Native. I used the trial version for a week now and I love the sounds. I only just can't seem to get rid of a high noise level in hi-gain sounds. I already searched this forum and watched youtube video's for help on this topic. I have made a recording with a comparisation of my Helix Floor board and the Native plug-in. I made sure that the settings in both Native and Helix Floor are the same. In the recording I used the signal: input > Scream 808 > Archetype Lead The recording is made in Cubase, via a Steinberg CI2 with Hi-Z and real low input gain. In Helix Native the input meter stays under -12 dB. In the recording you hear: 0:00 - 0:17 > Helix Native 0:18 - 0:34 > Helix Floor 0:34 - 0:35 > Helix Native background noise without playing 0:36 - 0:37 > Helix Floor background noise without playing I'm might still do something wrong, it doesn't seem normal Helix Native gives so much background noise compared to the Floorboard. I still have 6 days of Trial version left. Hopefully any of you guys can help me with the noise-problem so I get convinced in buying a copy of Native. Test Native vs Helix Floor.mp3
