HX Edit Crashing on macOS 26

I am having an issue where HX Edit is crashing when I copy/paste, or when I try to import a patch or Setlist.  Making it a bit  problematic to setup.  Almost a year has passed since the last HX Edit Update.  Any update coming up anytime soon?

This is a user forum, so no-one here would know update timing.

I'm not a mac user, but have you tried the usual "remove (fully inc drivers) and reinstall" trouble shooting that applies to all software?

Hi,

This is a user to user forum. There are no Line 6 staff here and only very occasionally do they visit these forums - (See the “sticky comment” in the black banner stripe at the top of this page entitled “Welcome to the Line 6 forums”).

As you mentioned, the last update for HX Edit was this:-

HX Edit 3.82 (released December 3, 2024) includes the latest graphic updates.

Please copy and paste or open this link in a browser of your choice to view the full 3.80 release notes.

Compatible OS: Mac OS X, macOS Big Sur, macOS Catalina, macOS Monterey, macOS Sequoia, macOS Sonoma, macOS Ventura

You are trying to run HX Edit on a platform that is not listed in the tested and Compatible OS.

Mac OS 26 - Tahoe was only made available on general release from September 15th 2025

Looks like you have encountered one of the perils of being an early adopter of bleeding edge technology.

Two options - revert your OS back to one that does work with HX Edit 3.82, and/or raise a ticket with Customer Support.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for a fix for HX Edit as it would appear that most Line 6 folks are busy with the Helix Stadium upcoming release.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

EDIT:

You could try posting in the Digital & Modeling section over on TGP, and see if you can attract the attention of Digital_Igloo, who is possibly the only person who would know how things are going!

@ftmusic1 I am on Tahoe 26.0 and not experiencing the crash you described with importing presets/setlists or copy/paste items such as blocks in the signal flow and presets in the Librarian. Can you provide more details about your setup? Are you using a USB-C adaptor? If so, have you tried a different one?

I have the same issue on a Mac.

One time somebody sent me a set list backup, and I actually crashed my Helix so it would not start when importing a set list.  Never doing this again.  What's worse is that I could only bring the Helix back to life with the help of a PC laptop.  The Flash memory utility did not want to install/run on Mac. Wasted several hours on this ordeal.

I have never had any issues when doing a full Helix backup backup/restore.  Or when restoring certain set lists from the backup.
