New volume pedal in signal path doesn't work on new presets

Running version 1.2, on all new presets if I add a volume pedal either stereo or mono, the pedal shows up but doesn't change when moving the pedal.  I have tried adding it to an existing imported preset with the same result, as well as add/removing.

Are you using the built-in pedal on the Stadium XL or an external pedal? In either case make sure the pedal assigned to the Vol block is active (EXP-1 or EXP-2) when moving the pedal.

Built-in pedal, nothing external. I will double check, however if it's not assigned, then that is a bug.  On the older Helix, the default is assigned to the onboard pedal.

The built in pedal has a toe switch allowing it be used as two separate controllers, EXP-1 and EXP-2. By default, the Wah block is assigned to EXP-1 and the Vol block to EXP-2. So if you have depressed the toe switch (unknowingly ) after assigning the Vol block the pedal moves to the EXP-1 assignment and is no longer controlling the Vol block. Press the toe switch and see if that rectifies your issue.

please check to see if you have it set (global settings) to automatically assign the block to a footswitch.  If this is set to manual, then adding a wah or volume will not work correctly until you make their assignments manually.  easiest fix is to delete them, turn on the automatic add and add them again.

Hope that helps.

You were correct, the setting was set to manual for Assign FX to stomps. Maybe this should be the default :)

I also determined that if you copy a block from a working one it also works.  Hopefully this will help someone else.

thanks everyone!

I put in a ticket about this as I would love the OG Helix behavior where Wah and Volumes get auto-assigned correctly, but anything else doesn't get auto-assigned to a switch.
