Game over for the PODHD300?

My original, much-loved PODHD300, version 2.01, bought around 2016, slowly died over the last few months. First, it took 10-20 minutes to "warm up" and then it just stopped providing any output at all - even the tuner didn't work. So I took a risk and bought another off eBay UK- even older- version 1.10. This one powers up but produces no volume at all. I've been through the manual, compared settings to the 2.01, checked all my cables but it just will not produce any sound. Any ideas? Just give up on this excellent product?

And another thing that suggests it's now been totally phased out is that despite dying, I managed to get my preset bundle (from years of gigging) from the 2.01 successfully on to my laptop and into the PODHD300 EDIT. But when I plugged in my the 1.10, it was not recognised to transfer the patches- at this stage I didn't realise it would not produce any sound. Are the drivers now obsolete too?

Any suggestions on either of these issues gratefully received.

Or for an AI generated Overview (probably based on those 2 posts linked above here):

A 10-20 minute warm-up time for a Line 6 POD HD300 is not normal operation; it indicates a hardware fault, specifically failing electrolytic capacitors in the pre-amplifier input circuit
. Affected units often produce no sound until warmed up due to corrosion or faulty components.
Key Details regarding the Issue:
  • Symptoms: No audio output upon power-up, requiring 10-20+ minutes to produce sound.
  • Cause: The problem is typically linked to the pre-amplifier section of the guitar input.
  • Solution: The common fix involves removing the metallic shield covering the pre-amp circuit and replacing the four faulty electrolytic capacitors, often caused by corrosion.
  • Alternative Check: If you cannot replace components, some users have reported that re-soldering the OP-amp legs can sometimes resolve audio issues, though this requires precision.
If your unit requires this warm-up time, it is highly recommended to seek professional service to replace the failing capacitors.

Good luck!

It reminds me a bit of the rollercoaster you get in a casino - one minute you’re crushing it, the next you’re reset to zero like a slot machine that ate your last credit. It’s kinda like when you walk into a place and you’re chasing that jackpot feeling, spinning reels or hitting cards at blackjack or poker tables thinking *this time it’ll be different*, and then boom… game over. I’ve been digging around for stuff that actually feels worth my time and money, and stumbling on sites that get straight to the good casinos and legit betting vibes really saves time. That’s why I keep telling mates about https://magyarkaszinooldalak.com/legjobb-kaszinok/uj-kaszino/ - it’s stacked with info on real, fun spots for roulette, slots, and more with solid bonuses. Honestly feels better than being stuck watching your rig crash and burn like some unlucky spin at the roulette wheel.

Sounds like both your units are just showing their age rather than anything funky you’re doing. These HD300s are long out of production and even the drivers/edit tools aren’t really maintained anymore so you’ll hit dead ends with newer computers.

Dealing with outdated hardware and unsupported drivers feels a bit like using Fast Payout Casinos  https://alphanetworks.io/ that no longer update their systems: things may still technically work, but compatibility and reliability become increasingly hit-or-miss. Just as players look for platforms with modern infrastructure and quick withdrawals, musicians rely on ongoing driver support to keep trusted gear usable. Once that support disappears, even great products can become frustratingly impractical.

a few things come to mind: the lack of output on the 1.10 could be a hardware fault - these older units are notorious for failing power or audio circuits over time, especially if they’ve been sitting unused. It could also be a firmware mismatch, though I think 1.10 should at least give some sound.
