HX Stomp 3 switches question

I have the Helix LT but I just use it to have 1 preset per song and then assign footswitch 8 to change a few things for example add a 4db gain and turn on a delay for a solo.

on the HX Stomp can I have the following?

FS1 = Down preset 

FS2 = Up Preset

FS3 = Turn on/off gain block and delay block?

 

The pic is the setup I’m thinking of using.

Yes to your first post. See manual description of Scroll Mode, and Global Settings -> Footswitches FS3. That’s assuming you want to control both Gain and Delay blocks together. If you want independent control of each then the answer is no.

 

Second post: too subjective. Only you can decide. Your height? Eyesight? Daytime outside?

The entire HX series IMO has a rather huge visibility issue (one of the reasons I sold my Floor), but for me it's never been worse on the Stomp (which I still own) than it was on the Floor. You rather get used to remembering what's behind a patch number, though.
