rwinking
So the footswitches on my Helix are intermittent. I'll turn on say a DDL and either nothing happens or it will switch on for a moment and then revert back. After a few trys it will eventually stay on.It's not just one switch but almost all of them at different times and it doesn't matter which mode it is on. We don't have a line 6 repair place for at leat 400 miles. Do you think the switches are just dirty and can be cleaned by anyone with minimal training or does it need to go back to Line 6? It is not unusable as is but very frustrating. thanks rick
theElevators
Time to clean the microswitches. A quick search of the forum, and you would have found this info. Enjoy!
rwinking
Thanks! I found a lot of stuff but wanted to check out as many opinions as possible. To be fair, I am using the Helix Rack and Control unit and thought that it would all apply. I will try the DeOxit "Lazy" method first and then see if there is someone around that would feel comfortable taking the unit apart. I most definately do not feel ok doing it as I tend to make matters worse when I do that kind of stuff. say, I notice you are in San Antonio. I was just there as I have family there and I was an Austin musician for a number of years. I listened to your song on this site and you are getting cool sounds. Thanks for the help!
