Line6BenB
It is recommended that you watch the following video before beginning the process. YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62Z8nap8lxc ++ WARNING: Not heeding the warnings during the Proxy process will damage both your Stadium AND your amp.++ Ensure that your load box is a true load box and not a "passive attenuator". Several companies make quality load boxes which start around $129 on up. You do not need the most expensive gear to get the best results. Be mindful of the settings on your amp/pedal. Rhis will be the tone that is committed to the Proxy. If you are cloning an amp with a cab, make sure to pay attention to the mic placement. If you have not recorded live guitars before, you may want to research how mic position affects the tone. What you hear with your ears will not be the same as what the mic picks up. Once again, you do not need an expensive microphone but make sure it is of acceptable quality. Customers have reported success in cloning amp/distortion tones from other modelers (ie. ToneX, FM9, etc) You would use the same method as if you were cloning a distortion pedal.
dandesy
What’s a $129 load box????
FarleyUK
What about the persistent and ongoing issue with the 'fizz' behind the notes on Proxy when you roll off the guitar volume on higher gain captures when using a load box? This has been known about since Proxy was released and there has been no update. No issue using the exact same amp, load box cables etc. with my QC clones. PiFromBRC
For us not familiar with the difference between a load box and a passive attenuator, what should we be looking for? I'm on sweetwater and don't see anything in that price range.

I've tried everything from a different load box, new cables, to moving my setup to a different room and nothing resolved the ghost distortion issue. For me it's equally problematic with clean tones. All levels are as should be coming from the load box and to the stadium send and receive. Looks like an issue with the algorithm.
XONE
Cute. Your Hi-Gain Capture isn't good. Take a look at the Quad Cortex, which is excellent. Or better yet, swallow your pride, and integrate NAM A2. You could have the best Capture Device of them all.
