  1. Do you actually think that they did this just cause they felt like it? That no one mashed for it???
  2. I don’t think you missed anything. You are correct that mics and placement can make or break your tone. But so does cab selection. And Helix is cab centric I suppose. a mic lock feature might be a good idea. You should submit a request to line 6.
  3. It *seems* to me like your workflow is the issue. correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds as if you’re assuming that a given mic at a given distance will work perfectly for all cabs and that switching the cab with your preferred mic should give you the best result. I think that’s the wrong approach since every cab/mic combination is different. And cabs sound great with a ribbon mic, others not. So I think it’s wiser/more to the point to audition the cabs (as spec’ed by line 6), and when you hear something your like, or in the ballpark, then you can play with the mic and placement.
  4. I believe that the answer is “yes” but heed silverhead’s advice, he knows what he’s talking about!
  5. It mean the camp and can are linked. Read the doc, it’s all in there!
  6. First of all, i said control center but i meant command center. see this section in the doc: https://manuals.line6.com/en/helix-stadium/live/command-center You call it up, then tap the foot switch you want to assign, and find the correct function using the knobs. i realize these aren’t clear instructions, but considering I’m not in front of my Stadium, it’s a start.
  7. Check out control center. it’s all documented.
  8. I also don’t know the answer since I don’t use the external amp controls on the Stadium. That being said, it sounds like your case is as simple as they come and this I don’t see why Stadium would not work. I feel like most amps use a two button footswitch with a trs cable.
  9. The “magnetic wrap” was included as a precaution for all kinds of crazy things they might choose to do in the future via the D10 expander. they have confirmed that it’s not required at this time (and probably will never be for most users)
  10. What’s a $129 load box????
  11. Clearly, this is a “talk me out of buying…” plea. Sorry, bud, you won’t get that from me :D
  12. How does the wah know when you “intend” for it to shut off? Unfortunately, ESP wasn’t built in the helix. you should use a switch as silverhead said, it set a longer time for it to deactivate.
  13. Wrong forum. But I’ve not experienced that.
  14. This happens to me all the time when i use my fingers on the switches. But never when I play with my properly covered feet.
  15. By all means log a feature request with line 6. However, In this case, I’m faulty certain that line 6 is busy expanding the features of showcase (among other things), and while they may be too busy to look at all requests these days, it might guide them in the right direction.
  16. There is a new studio app to download as well.
  17. 8 snapshots per preset. And you can change just about ANY parameter per snapshot. The only thing you can’t do is change the specific effect model. If you want a Minotaur at varying tone and gain settings, it’s possible. If you want a Minotaur on one snaoshot and a Tube screamer in a different one, you have to add both effects to the preset and then turn them on and off between snapshot. it’s pretty powerful.
  18. And also, why are you starting multiple threads for the same question?
  19. What output is your preset routing to? matrix and direct outputs are distinct.
  20. Any questions on bundle-and-save should be directed towards Flo.
