Dead DT25 head question

I have a DT25 head purchased in 2009. Up until now it was performing perfectly. While in standby mode when I left for a short time and came back, the power was off. Investigation found the AC power fuse blown (for reasons unknown). Tube fuse was ok. Pulled the old power tubes and put in 2 new ones thinking maybe they were the problem? Put in a new AC fuse and it blew instantly as well. I did not have a 12AX7 to swap in. The amp was plugged in to a AVR which I have used for years in including my past Spider Valve 212 (regret selling it). Never had a problem with it and still use it.

Questions below.

1) Could the 12AX7 possibly be the problem?

2) Does this feel like a transformer problem?

3) If the power transformer is shot, does that mean the amp in now a brick? My understanding from a number posts I have read, that there is no source for a replacement transformer for these amps today?

Any help would be appreciated ... thanks.
