johnnyvlee
I installed Workbench HD latest, made sure USB driver was latest, rebooted about 1100 times, etc. Guitar is recognized fine on workbench on my old, slow, clunky win10 laptop, but not on my Windows 11 PC. First time I tried it, it told me that the USB driver was blocked and that I had to turn OFF my computer's Memory integrity setting. I did this, rebooted 1100 more times, Workbench runs and does not connect to the guitar. I gave up FOR NOW - obviously this Win 10 laptop will be out of support by Microsoft in the near future and cannot be upgraded - but when I went to turn the Memory Integrity back on, Windows wouldn't let me because of Line 6 drivers that would not work with it on. So now it seems I have to UNINSTALL ALL LINE 6 software and drivers to ensure that I can re-enable the Memory Integrity. I'm one of those customers that bought into the entire digital guitar thing that Line 6 was selling at the time. And it has worked pretty well for me, especially for cover band stuff. But discontinuing Variax instead of UPGRADING/MODERNIZING with current technologies, and STILL lacking support for them with my Stadium has completely shattered my faith in both Yamaha and Line 6. I'm continuing to use the gear I've already invested in, and if Line 6 EVER comes out with the D10 expansion that will ensure I stick with it longer, but the lack of full support for Windows 11 is just one more in a long line of disappointments / buyer's remorse. Hopefully my honest and direct feedback will be taken in the spirit it is offered. I still WISH that I could stick with the Line 6 tech that I have invested in and trust that it will continue to be supported and I hope Line 6 finds their way.
