nickinfrance
Hi All, Very interested in the Amplify and i've been interested to read all the posts. I have a question about the playback quality for music.. I want to buy a good quality bluetooth speaker and if i can plug my guitar into it, even better! Does anyone have a feel for how the 75 would compare in playback quality with something like a Sonos play 5, Cambridge Audio Minx or a similar high end bluetooth speaker for music. ( I think this could be my route to convincing the other half this is what we need lol!) Thanks in advance
Triryche
If you have access to one at a local music store, I would test drive it and hear it person. But depending on your other half, the fact that you can plug in your guitar too could be a pro or a con!!
jhsg
It's not that good. My Bose sound dock leaves it for dead. It would be better if you could adjust tone on the amp. The amplifi is however excellent as a guitar amp. Heaps of fun and very versatile. I'm using it for recording and find it very good. The only thing is the tone match which is okay but a bit of a novelty.
Leftzilla
I just did a test at Guitar Center between the 75 watt Ampifi and the iLoud (40W). This was just a blu tooth test I need some extra monitoring on stage for the guitar alone and both of these seemed like good candidates. The Amplifi sound very good with detectable stereo spread and good bass response and good headroom. The Iloud also sounded very clear but not as loud (as expected). Both units have certain advantages over the other for my specific application so I am still deciding which unit I will purchase. I need to go back wit my HD500x and really put the screws to both of these.
