Scarlett 2i4 & Pod Farm Sound Problem

Recommended Posts

I recently got Pod Farm 2.5 for tones to replace my pedals for tones and I'm having a difficult time getting the right sound to record. The ASIO settings seem to be fine, but the input and playback on the interface isn't. Monitoring incoming audio, when I set the interface to playback, it sounds good, but when set it to input, I get a clean sound (I'm trying to get a distorted tone through). The Direct Monitor is set to Stereo and switching it to Mono seems to do nothing. I'm using Pod Farm through Mixcraft 6.1 as a VST and have the guitar going directly into the interface. I'm not too experienced with this stuff yet so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for replying. I'm not using a Line 6 interface or the iLok version. I copied the .dll file into my Mixcraft VSTs to use it in there. I'm not using the ToneDirect either. PodFarm does recognize the Scarlett device in the preferences however. I can get both the dry signal and wet signal through my monitors separately, but when I record, the playback is both signals (the dry mix being a lot louder).

Thre's a knob on the front of your Scarlett that says 'Direct Monitor'.  All the way anti-clockwise is input, all theway clockwise is playback (track monitor).

You will want to set the "Direct monitor" control on front of Scarlett 2i4 full clockwise - to hear 100% effect of PodFarm
