  1. Hi Elrenato. Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for the information.
  2. Hi Psarkissian/elrenato Psarkissian Thanks for that. Northampton isn't far from Milton Keynes, so same issue really. elrenato Thanks for this. I have seen valve sets for sale, but as Psarkissian has kindly explained to the forum several times, the amp still needs setting up after new valves (note the comment from Psarkissian re ONLY using the specific brand of valves) by the experts - these are not like "normal" valve amps. As I said, because they are so fussy, I've given up on mine. Just not worth the expense and bother. I'm wondering what to do with the lovely looking brick I have !! It even still has the cardboard cheat sheet on top of it. I don't gig and have Helix and Native as well as my Blackstar Stage 60 (yes, it is a bit loud for the studio !!) so not relying on the DT25. It did sound good though while it worked. Let the forum know how you get on with yours - I bet you aren't the only one who will have this problem.
  3. Hi Elrenato. I got no further with mine. Have given up on it. I’m not prepared to “take into an authorised Line 6 centre” every time it needs new valves or a looking at. As far as I know there’s only one in the UK which is Milton Keynes, which is a long way from me. The thing is too fussy. I have better things to do with my time. Mine still sits looking brand new but dead. Would not have bought it if I had known about this. Pity L6 don’t tell us about it’s peculiar requirements up front. Good luck with yours.
  4. Sorry, didn't mention that I have tried via the license manager but with the same end result.
  5. This is what the page in my account "Authorized Devices" looks like. Never known why the POD Live is "pending" It's been like that since I tried to deauthorize it years ago. I haven't used the UX2 for ages either. Just keep it authorized in case I have a problem with my current audio interface.
  6. Hi All I have reinstalled Windows 10 on my PC (again !!) due to issues I was having with it. Clean reinstall. Of course, this means having to reinstall all my recording software (which takes a very long time). I have reinstalled Helix Native. Upon using Cubase and trying to use Native as a plug in for an audio track, I now get an alert stating: "your account has reached the limit of computer authorizations for Helix Native. Sign into you Line 6 account to manage your authorizations" I have used L 6 products for many years and have had several computers over that time. I have also had to re install windows 10 several times due to problems. When Windows 10 is installed, usually get a new ID for the computer which is set by Windows. There are 11 devices listed on my account, three of which are L6 devices; the rest being previous computers or the present computer past ID's. I have deauthorized all the past computers and the previous ID's of the current computer, but I cannot find a way to authorize my current computer ID. How do I authorize this computer ? Until I can authorize the new ID I can't use Native. Many thanks.
  7. Hi Gtrman 100 Thanks for the note. Yes, already did this - did just about everything imaginable really !! Nothing moved the brick :-(
  8. Hi Luke

Tried to reply to your question on my post about DT 25 bricked twice now, but it doesn't seem to appear.

Maybe the mods are still getting around to it.

    In summary - no.

    Never sorted.

Didn't think it was worth the money to sort .

I've abandoned it and learned in future only to buy a "normal" amp.

Thanks for the reply. That's a real bummer. I loved this amp before this happened. Really hate that i attempted it and caused this issue. but it shouldn't be so difficult. definitely an issue that should be fixed by the company. i put in a support ticket with no response in 4 days. smh. one guy said he sent his in and they replaced a chip of some sort. but took him 4 months or something to get it back. with the cost of shipping, it's not very cost efficient for me to send this thing half way around the world. i'm on the east coast and my closest line 6 repair place isn't equipped to handle this type of repair. sucks. all i can do is keep trying and hope one day it will work like a few others have said. no real reason given, just that they kept trying and eventually it went through. again, thanks for the response.

      Hi Luke

It seems to be a common problem if you search various forums.

Really not happy that this amp is so dependant on having such specialist maintenance.

My nearest (and seemingly only official tech company in the UK) is about 200 miles away.

Just not economically feasible to maintain it; not even considering the practicalities of transport.

Never would have bought it if I had known.

Mine has been used very lightly at home, so didn't think that valves (tubes?) would be an issue, although Parkissian told me that they need changing regularly regardless of use time, which IO must admit, I didn't know.

Had it 4 years before the issue, and it worked perfectly before trying to update the software.

      Looks brand new !

Why don't Line 6 tell you it requires such high level maintenance before you buy it ?

Got loads of other Line 6 stuff and bought this amp to use with the HD500X, including the expensive special connecting lead.

      Have a Helix now though.

      We live and learn !!

      Hope you get yours sorted.

i ordered the m audio uno midisport they recommend (only 32$ on ebay). I'll give it a shot and hope for the best. I've also upgraded to the headrush, which i'm very happy with. but looking around, i find myself wanting the sound my dt25 produced. so if and when i get this thing fixed, i plan to make my own dt25 IR's which i'm anxious to try. if i do, I'll shoot you a message to share it with you. you can throw it on your helix and you'll have that dt25 sound without the hassle lol. i really don't know how this will sound as of yet, but want to experiment when i get the chance. I love it's clean sound so if i can replicate it, it will be a nice addition. anyway, thanks for your help. and yeah, i changed the tubes too. they were only a year old.

i will say, i can probably replicate it with the headrush already. it sounds amazing and i cant tell the difference on certain tones. but i just want to try, maybe even for fun i guess, to replicate the sound through the dt25 and try to use it to replicate that sound as if i'm plugged straight in clean. i just loved it.

  9. Did anyone resolve this ? After having no problems with using Native within Cubase, after having my gear in storage for several months and then getting it all set up again, I too encountered this very issue. Logged a ticket but the proposed solution from L6 had no effect Uninstalled and reinstalled Native, but still got the same issue. Saw this post trail and tried the deauthorise and reauthorise my computer process. This worked ! Hoping it doesn't reoccur as it did in the post from jtg567. How did you guys resolve ?
  10. Thanks again psarkissian I didn’t know that about tubes. Your responses much appreciated.
  11. Thanks again psarkissian I didn’t know that about tubes. Your responses much appreciated.
  12. Hi psarkissian Thanks again for your help. The valves have never been replaced. The amp has hardly been used even though I've had it from new for a while (June 2015). I don't play in a band or gig. Just very light occasional home use. I use mainly DAW and Helix Native and prior to Native, other computer based amp sims, so hardly use it. I'd be amazed if they were spent.
  13. Hi psarkissian I'm in Lancashire so both quite a way away. The amp is no longer under warranty. It has had very light home use only though. Thanks for the info.
  14. Hi PDKTDK Thanks for the reply. Yes, installed the driver as the MAudio midi connection was purchased new for this problem as advised by L6 and it was reinstalled just in case. Didn’t make any difference. I also tried different midi interfaces with the same result - one of them the HD500X. Have also tried Mac and Windows PC. Same result. This does seem to be a problem others have had on the forum. The nearest service centre to me is about 160 miles away and obviously being without the amp would be inconvenient. The amp was perfectly OK before the attempt at updating. I feel a bit aggrieved that I’m now likely to incur expense and inconvenience because of what looks like a software problem. I have 10 line 6 items registered so I have invested quite a bit of cash with them. I’m hoping they can sort before I have to resort to sending it off. Was thinking of buying another DT25 amps to run stereo but I think that’s looking like a no now after this problem. Can’t say that I’m looking forward to updating my Helix floor and Native ! Thanks again.
  15. Thanks for all these suggestions. Although unlikely, I’m wondering if possibly the inability for Monkey to ascertain the installed firmware type is the problem causing no progress on installing the latest version?? Even if it is, can’t find a way to reinstall it. It seemingly isn’t available on the L6 website anyway. Very baffled and frustrated. This is currently an expensive ornament.
  16. Hi psarkissian Thanks for this. Tried various USB sockets on the PC. Some are USB 2 and some 3. Made no difference. There are no external hubs attached to the computer.
  17. Hi PDKTDK Thanks for this. Yes, tried it. Many times. Did nothing.
  18. Hi Phil Thank you for this. Yes, tried with amp in safe mode too. Made no difference.
  19. Hi. Thank you for this. Have just tried your suggestion. Made no difference :-(
  20. Hi I have tried to update my DT25 to the ver 2 firmware. Before this the amp worked perfectly well. The update failed - Error 8000000A, which seems not uncommon judging by the forum and other places. The current firmware (as detailed on L6 Monkey) is now "This item is installed but its version cannot be determined". The amp now does not work. Can turn it on, and most of the lights are on, but cannot select channel A or B (light indicating B is lit), cannot select I, II, III or IV (none are lit), Pentode and Triode are both lit, Low Volume is lit regardless of where the switch is set and cannot select Class A/B or Class A (neither are lit). I have logged and updated a ticket with Line 6 but so far to no avail - the suggestions have made no difference (probably all detailed somewhere on this forum previously from what I've seen). The three day turn around is frustrating to say the least, with "fixes" that don't work. I have tried to update with both Mac using the M Audio Uno (purchased on L6 recommendation to sort this problem), and on good spec modern W10 PC using the same interface plus my L6 Pod 500X and my Steinberg UR242 interfaces. Have tried with the amp in normal and safe modes. As some on the forum have said they had the same problem, but some seem to have made it work after many attempts, I have tried MANY times so far. None of these things made any difference and I currently have a "brick " of an amp. Does anyone have any other suggestions please? Thank you :-)
  21. Just tried again. Downloaded and installed with no problem. Odd. Thanks again chaps.
  22. Hi and thanks for responding. That's what I thought Phil. Just doesn't download. I had just updated my floor and had no issues so I was able to connect to L6 OK. I did notice the MAC and PC downloads were next to each other soundog....nearly didn't !! I'll have to try later in case there was a server error or update going on. Thanks again chaps. :-)
  23. Hi. I can't believe I can't find out how to do this on the forum/help/support/user manual, etc.....but I can't. Could anyone help me to understand how to update Native from 1.70 to 1.71 please ? I have opened the App within my DAW (Cubase 8.5) but cannot see how to update it. I was logged in to my L6 account. I have tried to download the update from the downloads page on the L6 site, but all that happens is that the "awaiting response from L6" appears, then no download, then just reverts to the state as though I hadn't clicked on download. On one attempt I got the error message "502 Bad Gateway. The server returned an invalid or incomplete response" Tried using Edge and Chrome. Same result. I had just previously updated my floor to 2.71 with no problem. Disconnected the pedal from PC before trying to update Native. Very puzzled. Many thanks.
  24. Thanks Sound dog. Hadn't actually bought Native at this point. Was wondering whether it was OK to reinstall Windows (having problem with PC and was thinking of reinstalling Windows to rectify) after I purchased Native, or better to bite the bullet and reinstall Windows before purchasing Native. Postscript: I'm not an advanced computer techy, but..... Swapped my C drive for a Samsung EVO 970 solid state drive. Reinstalled Windows 10. Haven't yet purchased Native. Reinstalled Cubase, and software for my audio interface (Steinberg U242). Reinstalled Korg keyboard software. Amazingly, all seems well. NOW, looking at purchasing Native (have posted re same on Helix section of the forum).
