Did anyone resolve this ? After having no problems with using Native within Cubase, after having my gear in storage for several months and then getting it all set up again, I too encountered this very issue. Logged a ticket but the proposed solution from L6 had no effect Uninstalled and reinstalled Native, but still got the same issue. Saw this post trail and tried the deauthorise and reauthorise my computer process. This worked ! Hoping it doesn't reoccur as it did in the post from jtg567. How did you guys resolve ?

Hi psarkissian Thanks again for your help. The valves have never been replaced. The amp has hardly been used even though I've had it from new for a while (June 2015). I don't play in a band or gig. Just very light occasional home use. I use mainly DAW and Helix Native and prior to Native, other computer based amp sims, so hardly use it. I'd be amazed if they were spent.

Hi psarkissian I'm in Lancashire so both quite a way away. The amp is no longer under warranty. It has had very light home use only though. Thanks for the info.

Hi PDKTDK Thanks for the reply. Yes, installed the driver as the MAudio midi connection was purchased new for this problem as advised by L6 and it was reinstalled just in case. Didn’t make any difference. I also tried different midi interfaces with the same result - one of them the HD500X. Have also tried Mac and Windows PC. Same result. This does seem to be a problem others have had on the forum. The nearest service centre to me is about 160 miles away and obviously being without the amp would be inconvenient. The amp was perfectly OK before the attempt at updating. I feel a bit aggrieved that I’m now likely to incur expense and inconvenience because of what looks like a software problem. I have 10 line 6 items registered so I have invested quite a bit of cash with them. I’m hoping they can sort before I have to resort to sending it off. Was thinking of buying another DT25 amps to run stereo but I think that’s looking like a no now after this problem. Can’t say that I’m looking forward to updating my Helix floor and Native ! Thanks again.

Thanks for all these suggestions. Although unlikely, I’m wondering if possibly the inability for Monkey to ascertain the installed firmware type is the problem causing no progress on installing the latest version?? Even if it is, can’t find a way to reinstall it. It seemingly isn’t available on the L6 website anyway. Very baffled and frustrated. This is currently an expensive ornament.

Hi psarkissian Thanks for this. Tried various USB sockets on the PC. Some are USB 2 and some 3. Made no difference. There are no external hubs attached to the computer.

Hi I have tried to update my DT25 to the ver 2 firmware. Before this the amp worked perfectly well. The update failed - Error 8000000A, which seems not uncommon judging by the forum and other places. The current firmware (as detailed on L6 Monkey) is now "This item is installed but its version cannot be determined". The amp now does not work. Can turn it on, and most of the lights are on, but cannot select channel A or B (light indicating B is lit), cannot select I, II, III or IV (none are lit), Pentode and Triode are both lit, Low Volume is lit regardless of where the switch is set and cannot select Class A/B or Class A (neither are lit). I have logged and updated a ticket with Line 6 but so far to no avail - the suggestions have made no difference (probably all detailed somewhere on this forum previously from what I've seen). The three day turn around is frustrating to say the least, with "fixes" that don't work. I have tried to update with both Mac using the M Audio Uno (purchased on L6 recommendation to sort this problem), and on good spec modern W10 PC using the same interface plus my L6 Pod 500X and my Steinberg UR242 interfaces. Have tried with the amp in normal and safe modes. As some on the forum have said they had the same problem, but some seem to have made it work after many attempts, I have tried MANY times so far. None of these things made any difference and I currently have a "brick " of an amp. Does anyone have any other suggestions please? Thank you :-)

Hi and thanks for responding. That's what I thought Phil. Just doesn't download. I had just updated my floor and had no issues so I was able to connect to L6 OK. I did notice the MAC and PC downloads were next to each other soundog....nearly didn't !! I'll have to try later in case there was a server error or update going on. Thanks again chaps. :-)

Hi. I can't believe I can't find out how to do this on the forum/help/support/user manual, etc.....but I can't. Could anyone help me to understand how to update Native from 1.70 to 1.71 please ? I have opened the App within my DAW (Cubase 8.5) but cannot see how to update it. I was logged in to my L6 account. I have tried to download the update from the downloads page on the L6 site, but all that happens is that the "awaiting response from L6" appears, then no download, then just reverts to the state as though I hadn't clicked on download. On one attempt I got the error message "502 Bad Gateway. The server returned an invalid or incomplete response" Tried using Edge and Chrome. Same result. I had just previously updated my floor to 2.71 with no problem. Disconnected the pedal from PC before trying to update Native. Very puzzled. Many thanks.

Thanks Sound dog. Hadn't actually bought Native at this point. Was wondering whether it was OK to reinstall Windows (having problem with PC and was thinking of reinstalling Windows to rectify) after I purchased Native, or better to bite the bullet and reinstall Windows before purchasing Native. Postscript: I'm not an advanced computer techy, but..... Swapped my C drive for a Samsung EVO 970 solid state drive. Reinstalled Windows 10. Haven't yet purchased Native. Reinstalled Cubase, and software for my audio interface (Steinberg U242). Reinstalled Korg keyboard software. Amazingly, all seems well. NOW, looking at purchasing Native (have posted re same on Helix section of the forum).

….so if I pay by PayPal I pay US sales tax AND UK VAT (another +20%) ? Wow. :-( So $99 is actually $142...or thereabouts (not converted to £...obviously). Maybe I'll just plug the Helix into the line in on my Steinberg U242 interface. That's how I've got the HD500X to work best.

We certainly pay crusinon…..just in a different way, and from what I can tell, no individual pays as much as you guys seem to have to. You have my sympathy.

Wonder why people in the US can have free backpacks and an extra year of warranty cover but in the UK we don't get these offers ?

Hi Recently purchased Helix floor and am so impressed am looking at buying Native to use with my Cubase system. On looking at the L6 website, I can only find a US page to purchase this, with prices in dollars and including US sales tax. Is there a UK page I am missing ? Would rather pay in £ sterling than have the bank rip me off with charges ! Thank you.

Hi Have looked at buying Native and reside in the UK. I have a Helix Floor so qualify for the $99 offer. When I try to purchase, there is only a US page with prices in Dollars, then an addition of $20 for tax. Is there a page for UK purchasers that I am not finding ? Thank you.

Hi Data Commander Thanks for the reply. I can see and use the Helix after registration, but I can't see it on the License Manager. On all my other L6 gear, I had to "authorise" them via the license manager. Regards.

Hi Looking to purchase Helix Native, but having problems with my computer and am thinking of resetting it to as new state (W10, i7 chip, plenty of RAM). How is Native supplied ? Presumably a download from L6 on completing the purchase process ???? If I have purchased and loaded Native on it before I reset, will I still be able to reload and use Native after I reset the computer ? Thanks.
