Hey There, I Have two separate inputs going into my HX STOMP from my Acoustic from 2 two different preamps. I have the chain split into channel A and Channel B. I Have an IR on each channel. Can I reverse the phases on one of these IR paths? Would be a big help for my live gig. Thanks Gerry C

HELLO I am having an issue with my HX Stomp through Pro Tools you may be able to help me with. I want to record into Pro Tools using HX Native to create a preset that I want to save to my HX Stomp via HX Edit. Here is the tricky part. I want to monitor my pro tools mix through my headphones on the HX Stomp. But I am hearing the guitar signal before it goes into pro tools as well as the record enabled track through Native. Since I am not using my PT interface, direct monitoring does not come into play here. 1. In order to record through pro tools I set my PT interface to HX Stomp. 2. I record enable the audio track and set input to input 5, (This is supposed to be a clean track but it is not not. Unless I set my Stomp to an "EMPTY PATCH" I shouldn't have to do that but input 5 is not clean otherwise. 3. When I go to an empty Patch in my Stomp obviously I can hear the clean guitar through my headphones (As I should) but when I record enable my track I'm hearing both the clean guitar and the affected track through HX native. I don't wanna hear the clean guitar. Someone said that I need to split my output path on the last block and send that block to B but I already have a split path on this Patch which is utilizing 2 separate IR's. So to recap I want to MONITOR through my headphones and I'm basically plugging my guitar into and THROUGH the HX STOMP - Going USB OUT TO PRO TOOLS - RECORDING THE GTR INTO AN AUDIO TRACK WITH INPUT 5 SELECTED, Listening to the recorded guitar through Helix Native PLUG-IN. I can hear a my patch fine only problem is I'm hearing my clean guitar as well as I record. I DON"T WANT THAT. I am using an empty patch, if I had the stomp on a patch I would be hearing the Patch 2X THE PROBLEM: Since I am using my STOMP as my interface I need to turn off the guitar in my headphones that is not coming out of PRO TOOLs. The clean guitar I am hearing is straight from the STOMP first just as if I plugged in all by itself. I need to turn that off but when I turn off L-R MIX out, on the STOMP, nothing comes out. I hope I am explaining my situation in a way you can understand. Thank you Gerry C

I think my issue also could be. I have a patch with a 2 channel path already with each for two different IR's, then the paths come together. Then I have an eq at the end. How do I make this eq end on path 2. Im attaching a pic

Hi Amsdenj< I am running into the same problem. I have a EQ as my last block I checked the manual and cannot figure out how to send that block to Path B?? Driving me crazy. I am trying to recoed into pro tools and only want to hear my playback through HX Native but I am hearing the clean channel as well. Thanks so much. Gerry C

Hey, I was thinking in order to avoid going into my DAW interface and "guessing" what input level to set to, I could go USB out to my computer into Pro Tools. If I set my Stomp to an "Empty Patch" and I plug my guitar into my Stomp first, what is going into the Stomp should go directly in to Pro Tools. At least that's how I see it.

Thanks, I'm gonna bring my computer in to the guy that made it. My old computer had a hum as well but not as bad as this one.

My center piece broke as well. It was just over year, by a day if you can believe it. I was gonna crazy glue the piece back in but luckily they honored the warranty. Had to ship it out and they got it back to me in a a few weeks. Now I'm ultra careful. Although I will say, the ground hum when using HX Edit is worse now than when I had used it before.

Hello All I want to record my acoustic into Pro Tools in order to make presets for my HX Stomp or Helix for my live gig. I am making some presets for my live acoustic gig. I have a pure mini installed in my Takamine Acoustic and would be happy to share my presets with anyone. Does anyone have good acoustic presets or does anyone have a link to search. I'm not finding as many as I thought I would> thanks G

Hello All< I want to record my acoustic into Pro Tools in order to make presets for my HX Stomp for my live gig. Basically it's very simple, all my backing tracks are in pro tools and I want to record my acoustic playing along with the backing tracks and set my levels, eq's etc and copy the presets from HX Native to my stomp thru HX Edit. One issue I'm having is I have no idea of what level to set my Pro Tools input to. I know I can't set it louder as if I am recording to produce a tune, I tried that. The difference in input into pro tools needs to be the same as the input into the HX Stomp when I play live. The sound is completely different if it isn't. So I'm left guessing what that input level should be. Does anyone know what that level would be roughly? Thanks Gerry C

Hey there, I think I am in agreement with you regarding the grounding of the USB port. I don't know if I mentioned but this USB port was replaced not long after I got the unit. The interior housing had cracked> it was under warranty and I had it fixed but it took a month to get it back. I know I had this grounding issue before I just can't be short if it was as terrible as it is now. As for the guitar being plugged in or not doesn't matter. no effect whatsoever. Once I plug the USB into the computer the buzz comes through. To give you a better idea you can hear the level of the hum increase as I'm putting the plug in. what I mean is as the cable approaches the USB port you can hear the hum beginning and it gets louder the closer you get to you finally plug it in. I have contacted Line 6 about this several times they keep blowing it off making the same recommendations. I wish they would just say "OK let's will send you a loaner, and you can send that back to us let's check it out, thanks for your business, we will make this right", but never happens. So I just gotta live with it or buy a whole new unit and take my chances that I was right.

Dorfnar< What hub are you using?

I hear what you are all saying, But as for circuits, the Stomp's power adapter isn't even plugged in at all. And i plugged the USB into an old computer that is just sitting there connected to nothing whatsoever.I guess that was my point. I should have clarified. There are 4 devices here. Guitar HX Stomp Mixing Board Computer My guitar is plugged into my Stomp which is plugged into my board and the USB from the Stomp into my computer. . Even when I do not have the power adapter plugged in. There is a hum and crackling coming through my speakers. When I disconnect the USB, it's gone. And the Stomp is nice and quiet. So using HX EDIT is a total drag. And it's loud. So I am wondering if it's possible that the USB port on my Stomp was not grounded properly but was wired correctly for the data transfer to work. Tried multiple cables, moving the stomp all around the room. As long as the USB is connected there is crackling and popping. And another thing I tried. I have another computer sitting right next to my new one. There is nothing attached to this old computer it is just the box on the floor. When I plug the USB port cable into the USB port on the computer bang! it's back. So it's like once USB is plugged into something, the Stomp becomes one big radio receiver. Thanks G

OMG!!!! I have been dealing with this for over a year now and just when I can't take it anymore, once again I pulled everything apart and tried lifting grounds, moving s*** around and just keep hearing it. The only time it stops is when I unplug the USB cable from the computer. It has broken my heart and killed a good vibe every single time I use HX Edit. There is no one to blame but Line 6. I can't tell you how many USB devices I have had over the years including the ones I use now EVERYDAY and I have NEVER Had this problem. For example this is my 10th attempt trying to fix this which is why I just happened to search online AGAIN to see if anybody came up with the fix. Right now the ONLY 2 things I have plugged in to my HX Stomp is a left output (1/4" going into the board) and 1 USB cable going into my computer. (I tried all 6 ports on my computer by the way and 4 different type USB cables) No power plugged in, just the two cables. And the hum is tremendous. It is as if the engineers at Line 6 were trying to "create" the ultimate ground loop device. I have never seen anything like it. Did anyone ever find a sure fix for this????????????????????? I tried all the suggestions above at least two times. Gerry C

OK. Thank you. I will try the patch. I really appreciate your help. Thank you Gerry C

Hi I'm hoping somebody can help me. I have an acoustic guitar with 2 separate outputs one is the K&K pure mini pick up the other is the preamp on the guitar. I want to use 2 separate inputs on my HX Stomp that come out 2 separate outputs so I can put them into my mixing board and mix the left and right channels together however I see fit. I can't seem to do it. I have tried searching online and do follow the directions but it either doesn't work or the channels are reversed and it's becoming a real headache trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone just have a preset they can send me that has 2 independent channels a left and right input so I can EQ and effect them independently. I have cables clearly labeled It shouldn't be so difficult but something is wrong. In split Y the channels come out reversed and in Split A/B when I pan A left and B Right nothing comes out the B side. So there is something wrong with how I have this setup. I am using stereo blocks on each side and no other blocks for now. Just two stereo EQ's, 1 on the left the other on the right. Thanks for your help Gerry C

I figured it out. unbelievable. Turns out when I lifted the ground on my Mackie DL 1608. The ground hum went away on the stereo channel the hx stomp was using. Wow, I was lucky to find that. I was using 12 of the 16 channels and the only two that had issues were ONLY the two the HX Stomp was using and ONLY when the USB port was plugged in. I need a beer. LOL I did contact tech support, gonna have to contact them again. LOL Thanks for your help Gerry C

OK it HAS to be the HX Stomp. Just some more info. I just disconnected every USB device from my computer including my audio interface. The Noise is still there. I tried plugging the computer into another computer that was not only off but had no wires or power connected whatsoever. Just the dead box and the noise is still there. I turned the Stomp off and even disconnect the power supply and the noise is still there. This must be the problem. I had this USB port serviced 6 months ago (Through Sweetwater) and I was told it passed all the tests. I heard the noise but didn't realize how bad it was until a week ago. I was so glad to have the unit back and since the file transfers worked and I was able to copy my presets back and forth between my HX Native and HX Edit I was cool. Now I am not. If this USB port needs to be "grounded" how can I do it. I don't have the time to send it back out right now . Any advice would be helpful. Thanks gerry
