Thanks for getting back. OK I plug my a HX stomp into the same digital mixer I use for live gigs . Pro Tools comes out of through a preset stereo channel with the level set to 12 o'clock. so after getting my sounds with the HX stomp, I plug my guitar into my Pro Tools interface and record the exact same progression just 4 bars. So I can level it and make my final tweaks in hx native. This way I'm hearing my acoustic only through my speakers with Pro Tools. And while I was tweaking my sounds through the HX stump I was wearing my AKG 701 headphones as well so is not to be fooled by the actual guitar sound on my lap . After recording I play it Back and the sound is not the same. So after recording I need to tweak it again. I could live with that but here are the problems that I'm having.
I am trying to come to terms or understand the saving parameters of HX native and this saving parameters of HX Edit.
As I tweaked my sounds listening to the playback in Pro Tools and get my levels. I want to save what I have done as I proceed. I have a backup just in case. When I go to :save to disk" option and I import it into HX edit. The problem I am running into is this. If I "save to disk" in my HX Native Plug-in and import the same file name into HX Edit the name reverts back to the original.
I'm not sure which is the best way to save a preset I have been working on, even though I rename it and I see that it's been named properly in my folder when I import it it reverts to the last name again. I see there are various ways to save in both hx edit and hx native. I'm not sure which is the best way. When I rename something in HX native, then I save to disk as the new name and when I imported into HX edit the old name came up again and again and it's not long until I am confused as to what preset I am looking for. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but there must be one right way to do it. Any advice
Thanks
