  1. That's what I'm doing now too, although the updated manual says "automatically returns to...Stomp footswitch mode after selection". Just looking for the absolute quickest and most efficient way to go between snapshots in a song. Thanks silverhead and phil_m for the help!
  2. Thanks a bunch silverhead! So that's what the Auto Return does. Unfortunately that doesn't allow me to do what I hoped it would do. Having to press FS1 and FS7 simultaneously (nearly impossible while barefoot!) just to select a snapshot is a lot of foot hokey pokey. Interesting that FS6 only becomes a "CANCEL" button when you press FS1 and FS7 together. For now I'll just alternate between Snap/Stomp Preset Mode and 10 Switches Stomp Mode. Really would've liked to skip that one extra step between modes.
  3. My default mode is the 10 Stomp switches mode. What I'd love to do would be to select a snapshot (top row FS 2-5 select Snapshots 1-4) and have it automatically revert back to stomp switch mode without having to hit FS6 again. Does that make sense?
  4. Can't seem to get the "Auto Return" working. Doesn't seem to be any difference between Auto and Manual. What am I doing wrong? Global Settings > Footswitches > Snapshot Mode Footswitches—A new Global Settings > Footswitches parameter lets you set Snapshot mode footswitches as Auto Return (automatically returns to Preset or Stomp footswitch mode after selection) or Manual Return (stays in Snapshot footswitch mode until you press FS6 [CANCEL])
  5. Fantastic beta version Line 6. My hands love editing on the Helix but my back loves the desktop version much better. Huge thanks! Hopefully we'll be able to copy/paste/rename/customize blocks in the future. Hopefully we'll be able to use the arrow keys to cycle through/preview blocks and parameters similar to what was in the POD HD500x edit. This would save so much more time for jammin!
  6. Just got a closeout Road Cases USA case/pedalboard. $119 closeout w. free shipping. The 24" one for $109 would fit better, but I'm leaving room for an additional Mission expression pedal. Bottom tray is the perfect width for the Helix. http://www.roadcases...ctory-closeout/ Love it!!! Just a few velcro pieces on the bottom to keep it in place. Also installed a 3" piece of soft foam for the lid to keep it all snug. For giggin', set it down, unlatch it, plug it in, and it's ready to go. Takes me about 30 seconds.

  8. Holy crap Matt! I've been so disappointed with the 2.0 Strat sounds, but loved the newer Telecasters and Les Pauls. These models sound so much richer and the bell tones of the 4th position were sorely missed. Can't believe it took me this long to find your bundle. Thanks dood!
  9. Two caveats…you don't get the full volume potential as you do when you plug into the guitar input jack. Also, the high ends tend to break up a bit when cranked. Variax acoustics sound great this way too!

  11. That's a great idea using it as a solo stage monitor!
  12. I purchased the AMPLIFi 150 the day it came out. Thought the iOS concept was a cute idea for high school garage bands, so I didn't have any real expectations that it would work for any professional applications. For me, the price alone justified the Bluetooth stereo feature while jamming along/practicing. But I was sorely disappointed that the advertised "revolutionary 5-speaker stereo system" didn't truly work with any of the guitar tones. However, I accidentally found out that if I use a 1/4" stereo out of the HD500's headphone jack to a 1/8" stereo cable into the AUX IN on the back of the amp, I've now got sonic paradise! Granted, it's similar results I'd get plugging into a PA system, but I'm much happier with the tones now. Reasonable price for a small stereo guitar reference monitor that steams audio content.

  14. I play the Teles, Strats, and Les Pauls 90% of the time. My quick review since upgrading... 1) Love the new Workbench format. Slow to sync, but so much better experience to edit. Hate how it doesn't work yet with the POD HD500. 2) The new Telecasters sound amazing. Love the new Wide Range pickup option in positions 2 and 4. Never used the previous 2 and 4 Tele models...they sucked. 3) Like the new Les Paul models a lot. A little brighter and crisper. 4) Hate the new Strat models. The bell chimey thing has all but disappeared in positions 2 and 4. This fact alone will cause me downgrade to 1.9! Don't want to lose the new T-Models and Lesters, but that's the compromise I guess. 5) Like the new 89 pickup options, but wish they had a lot more grit. I've got a Les Paul Classic and was hoping those new pickups would replicate a more hot, mid-rangey sounding Les.
