The tech guys fixed it. The issue was caused by a capacitor failure on the power module. Seems to be working fine for now, with no overheating. Thanks for your suggestions and support!

I have a pet cat. I will definitely take the unit to an electronics tech for inspection tomorrow.

I opened the panel underneath the unit. I see no obvious signs of damage, although it has a "burned PCB" smell. The power supply module was pretty dirty (see photos). I tried turning the unit on, and the display did not glitch. However, the power supply module got pretty hot quickly, so I turned it off without conducting further tests. I think I will take it to an electronics tech this week for inspection (there is no Line6 official service nearby).

What should I check? Is a visual inspection of the PCB for visible signs of damage sufficient?

I use an 8-year-old Line6 Helix unit almost 24/7, since it also doubles as a sound card for my computer. Today I found it overheating, smelling like burned PCB/electronics and with the LCD rapidly blinking/glitching. What should I do? Is it safe to turn it on again?

Hello, I have a strange issue with my Line6 Helix device. Even when I turn down my "Phones" output all the way down to zero, I still hear sound coming from my right headphone. Is this a known bug? Is there a way to fix it?

Hello! The title says it all - is it possible to send a signal to a USB channel from the middle of my signal chain? For example, I have a chain with a distortion pedal, a combo cab and reverb. I would like to record my playing simultaniously dry, with the dist pedal, with the combo amp and the full signal. I thought this was possible with the send/return blocks, but it seems to me now that it is not :(

Hello, I am using Line6 Helix as an audio interface for my computer. I am trying to change the buffer size from my DAW(Ableton live), but when I open the ASIO Helix driver, I see no such options. Is it possible to change buffer size from the default 128 samples?

Pretty much what the title says - will the new 2.81 HX Edit PC application work with Helix Floor 2.71? I'm kinda scared of the compatibility issues when updating helix devices & apps, so I wanna be sure before I connect them. The reason for this is that my helix doesn't work with 2.8 firmware or later, so I have to use the 2.71 one, and I'd like to use the new PC application (actually I've already installed it while trying to update my Helix Floor).

I went back to 2.71 and everything seems to work fine. I have one question though - do I also need to downgrade my HX Edit, or can I use HX Edit 2.81 with Helix Floor 2.71?

I will try it now. If it does not work, can I downgrade to a previous version that worked for me?

I did the FS7 & FS8 reset (without restoring my backup presets yet) and the volume knob is still not working, and the global settings are still freezing the whole unit.

I did not, since I figured I don't need the 2.80 factory presets/templates, so I skipped the step 4 from the update instructions. I proceeded to restore the presets from my 2.71 backup. Is it safe to try the FS6 & FS8 reset now?
