  1. A couple of years ago I got the HS8's when they had their annual or semi-annual buy one get the second one 1/2 price sale. Our Guitar Center had a display setup where you could A/B many of the popular brands and sizes. The HS8's sounded the best to me. Also the pro-audio guy who has worked there many years recommended the HS8's for guitar over the smaller sizes. Glad I got the 8's, YMMV.
  2. Thanks for the post @amsdenj. I also have a Fishman Triple Play along with Roland VG and GR gear that mostly sit in a closet unused now. I have dabbled with Jam Origin off and on over the years and your post got me to thinking about doing something similar with an iPhone or iPad. Connect iPhone via Helix USB to Apple camera connection kit to iPhone and trigger Sampletank with Jam Origin. Thanks. Bob
  3. Wow...I never thought of that...I am using a G10. Thanks ML !
  4. Thanks for the reply ML. I've tried both the guitar and return and notice little difference in the sound. It seems when turning down guitar input impedance setting down to 1 M Ohm the sharpness of the highs are attenuated somewhat.
  5. I have a Helix LT and the is no aux in. Should I plug my Ovation acoustic electric that has a pre amp into the guitar in or one of the returns? Thanks. Bob
  6. Put a Boss Octave OC-3 pedal in the effects loop. On the Boss you can adjust the frequency cutoff so that the octave effect only sounds on the lower strings. Bob
  7. It looks like bentbrad is in the Las Vegas, NV, US area.
  8. Boss Super Octave OC-3. I play solo most of the time and the OC-3 gives bass sounding notes on the low E A and D strings. The pedal has a frequency range knob so the octave effect can greatly reduced on the higher strings.
  9. I didn't have a lot of time to spend on this but I was able to switch the mix level in the effects loop from 0% to 100% using the B switch on the Boss FS-6 using a TRS cable plugged into Pedal 2 and the FS-6 mode set to latch and polarity switch set to the left. I couldn't get the A switch to do anything.
  10. I have a Boss FS6 also. I'll try it with that later today.
  11. I just tested this with a M-Audio EX-P expression pedal plugged into the Pedal 2 jack and was able to adjust the effects loop mix up and down.
