  1. Yes - what was playing from the mixer was the sound of my guitar going in. That sound then goes to Cubase where it's processed with the Native and that sound comes back to the mixer and then to the speakers. The original guitar sound was just drowning out the processed guitar sound so I muted the input sound but that still allows it to go to Cubase. It's all settled now and thanks for your help!
  2. Well, I have made some headway. The mixer was still playing the Dry guitar and Cubase was playing the Native guitar but the Native guitar volume was so low it was drowned out by the mixer's volume. I need to work on how to set the volumes so they are all balanced balanced and that shouldn't be much trouble. There's always something new to learn...
  3. The guitar signal from the mixer goes to the Cubase buss and gets recorded. When I press the Monitor Icon, I should hear the Native sound but I don't. When I listen to whatever I have recorded, the Native sound is there but it would be nice to play the guitar with the Native sound.
  4. I am having an issue using Helix Native with Cubase 15 Pro. I added the Native insert to my track and my guitar interface is a Soundcraft USB mixer. I can record the guitar just fine and I can apply the Native effects afterward but for some reason I can hear the dry guitar but I can’t hear the effects while I am playing. I have clicked the monitor icon and at one point it actually worked but then it stopped working for no reason and wouldn’t come back so it sounds like it might be a bug. Is anyone else suffering with this problem?
  5. I am using the latest firmware - 3.60 - and haven't tried this without having the HX Edit on. I guess that's my next step.
  6. I spent an hour trying all the factory presets and when I reached Factory Presets 2 around 03B the sound disappeared. When I played the guitar the green didn't show up on the input icons and I had to restart the Helix to get the sound back. It kicked out again after toggling through a few more presets as though it couldn't take the processing anymore. I was running HX Edit and selected the presets from there. The only time I have this problem is when I go through a lot of presets. When I play and just use a couple I never lose the sound. Has anyone else experienced this and have you fixed it?
  7. The editor is HX Edit. Native is a plugin to use with your DAW.
  8. Having to log in every day is bad but worrying about my Helix bursting into flames is worse!
  9. Because JSON files are plain text files, you can open them in any text editor, including: Microsoft Notepad (Windows) Apple TextEdit (Mac) Vim (Linux) GitHub Atom (cross-platform) I'm not smarter than you but Google is smarter than us both.
  10. Plug in the guitar lead so the Pocket Pod is on before you connect the USB cable. Once you hear the USB connected tone, start the Line 6 Monkey program.
  11. Mine is rigid - it doesn't move anywhere except for a miniscule side to side wiggle.
  12. Try plugging the guitar into the pocket pod first and then plugging the usb cable from the pocket pod into the computer. Detecting the pocket pod can be temperamental. Keep trying different USB ports until you actually hear the connect sound.
  13. I found that connecting to a Windows 7 PC was a hit and miss experience but once I plugged in the guitar and then the usb cable it would connect and work well. So far, so good...
