Is there an output select for Helix native like the floor Helix? Just in case I want to plug into a real guitar amp or something other than my studio speakers.

Looking for Helix hardware factory patches for Native

Sounds very good. I remember using a friend's Helix floorboard & thought I came across patches that were not on the Native presets. Just a hunch ! -
Looking for Helix hardware factory patches for Native

Thanks.Custom tone only gives me single patches & not set list. I am looking for patches that comes with a Helix floor processor. Since I own only Native I don’t have access to it. Maybe someone can send me their Helix patches set list.Hope Native will be able to read it. -

Thanks.I am actually looking for the Helix hardware set list as I think they are different from the Native set list.(Am I right? ). So restoring Native set list is not the issue. -

I found this https://www.dropbox.com/s/p9dnmevtc9myjl7/FACTORY%201.hls?dl=0 but I am unable to open on native directly as it requires the Helix hardware. -
Anything compatible with Helix native pls? I am unable to open this for Native since it is asking for Helix device (I don't own).

Please listen to the attached file! My experience with Tube amps is very limited.I have been enjoying my PODs most of the time.I have used my Spider Valve 112 only a few times for an overall 20 hours probably.Right from the time I remember ,some of the distorted tones feel wobbly ,fizzy, flabby, flappy & lacking sustain. Some tones have great sustain but some of them sound highly compressed too.I have attached a short recording of an A Major power chord played through an Ibanez roadster with Dimarzio humbuckers (Ignore the noise in-between while I got the recorder ready). Is this normal for tube amps ?

Hello guys, I tried using the HD500x as a foot controller for the Eleven Rack & it works just fine.I did not make any settings but just hooked a midi cable from the midi out to 11 r midi in.The patches change from A-D & even the bank changes without an issue. The only problem is I am unable to use the HD's built in volume pedal.Nothing happens when I move the pedal up or down. Anyway to fix this & get it working?

I have used my spider valve overall for only about 20 hours from the time of purchase.Do I still need to change tubes?

Record without cabinet
jesuscares replied to jesuscares's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Thanks for the reply.Line 6 does a great job with direct line outputs for recording.I have the Spider valve & thats exactly what it does, although there is still no way to bypass the sound coming out of the speakers which is way too loud. The Behringer DI does claim to eliminate the speaker though. Not sure how far authentic though. Here is what the link says on the Behringer DI posted above : Allows direct connection to speaker outputs with up to 3,000W -
I have a few tube amp heads including a line 6.Some of them come with line out of recording & some like the Egnator 15 w only has a speaker out & effects send/return.What is the best way to record this sound via sn interface without using a cabinet or mining the cab? Do I need to plug the speaker out into a DI box? Will the behringer DI ultra do the job? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DI100/?adpos=1t1&creative=110418914761&device=c&matchtype=b&network=g&gclid=CPqV2IOmms0CFdgWgQodiOkC7w I have a Spider valve amp that is too loud.can I just disconnect the speakers & feed it through the DI & record safely?

I recently downloaded the entire HD additional pack, thanks to L6 memorial day sale.Does anyone know where I can find user tones (patches) using these amp models? If you can share that would be great!

Thanks guys for the excellent response. As far as being a guitarist as opposed to being a sound engineer, what we look for is just not the sound but the natural flow that comes from playing the guitar through some special amps or systems, the dynamics & the response we get. Some amps almost 'plays before you actually play'.While softwares can take care of the sound & mix part, hardwares can actually make you play better. So I guess these are 2 aspects when it comes to guitar sound. However there are so many options to choose from these days. I'm not sure if the Helix uses digital or analog components .I would prefer to go the analog route.I wonder why they did not include tubes into that big giant pedal. There are so many amp modeling pedals coming out like AMT amp stomp boxes,Wampler & not to miss the cheap little Joyo pedals ! I wonder why anyone would invest on it while Line 6 has them all on one board. Are they better in anyway compared to L6 pedals such as HD,x3 & such? When it comes to recordings,if softwares can match the sound of Helix a recording artist who is more sound conscious may opt for the easy route.I recently added Amplification Creme & was baffled by the great sounds that seem to beat Bias for a very low price.I should say it would be good for L6 to spend some of their time working on L6 softwares too,to beat the market these days & reduce the burden of artists carrying huge boards on their shoulders. With all said,it still hard to decide which route to take on this gear buffet world we live in.Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Please let me know your opinion on using Helix for recording vs using a DAW like Bias amp, Amplifikation ,Revalver, Guitar Rig etc. What are the advantages & disadvantages.

Wow! Thanks for the big tip.Despite the complications it should still be worth it.I believe when a sound goes directly via HD's USB the quality should be a lot better than sending the sound via xor or 1/4 cables to an interface. Is the spdif cable the same as a regular RCA cable? From the link you sent I found this vide to be very useful: I have a question though.Between 1:52 & 2:00 there is a mention of plugging in a jack into the guitar input & another at the output. Can you let me know where these cables are coming from? Are they the output cables coming from the HD or are the originating from the send /return? Sure appreciate your replies.Thank you.

Thanks. If you have links on how to go about with external equipment do send my way.Right now I use a eleven rack which has great revamping capabilities.I can use HD via its send/return.
