The Input block has a parameter called Gtr Pad. Set it to ON. Or set Gtr Pad to Global and Global Settings -> Ins/Outs -> Input Level to Line.
-
Sure, Controller Assign the expression pedal to the Level parameter in the Output Main L/R block.
-
The Fender Mid Boost Eric Clapton can boost the signal 25dB. That's WAY too much for the HX's input to handle. Definitely use the HX's Pad although it is only -7dB which isn't remotely enough to handle the full boost capabilities of the Clapton.
-
You could try this: engage the Feedbacker and save it as User Default (press and release both < and > PAGE buttons, then press Knob3). Otherwise contact support about this.
-
I don't have the HX One so I can't verify that. On my HX Stomp it can be saved engaged and does immediately feedback. You can contact support and ask whether saving it engaged is possible.
-
The feedbacker is made like this for a reason. It is supposed to feedback when you trigger it - not at preset load. But you can save the preset with the engaged feedbacker if you want to. The MIDI messages are correct. BUT the timing is suspicious: the CC messages are send one millisecond after the PC messages. The HX One is probably busy loading the preset in that moment and ignores / discards the CC message. So there are your two solutions: save the preset with the feedbacker engaged or add a small delay between the PC and the CC messages.
-
These are MIDI PC messages and we were talking about CC (or alternatively NoteOn) messages. You don't need to send Bank Select messages btw. HX One only has one bank and ignores them anyways.
-
Not sure how a Helix manual talking about Command Center's sending toggle CC commands should help the issue. It's about the HX One not reacting to MIDI CC. We are in the stage where we verify with a MIDI monitor that the RJM actually sends the correct MIDI data..
-
I wouldn't conclude things that fast. Do the MIDI monitoring (see prev post) and come back with results.
-
Hmm weird... CC#1 and CC#4 should do the trick. You could try sending a MIDI Note ON message C[0] - that also triggers Bypass/Enable. You could also use a MIDI monitor program like MIDIView and see what MIDI messages HX One actually recieves. That might help getting a clue of what goes wrong.
-
To confuse things a bit more the MXR Timmy switch goes from left to right: MXR left <> Teemah! up MXR center <> Teemah! center MXR right <> Teemah! down
-
I mean changing presets with MIDI as in: sending MIDI-PC (program change) messages to go to a different preset. That is an easy test to see if it reacts to MIDI messages at all and excludes errors like defective cable, wrongly connected, wrong MIDI channel etc.
-
The Feedbacker is one of those effects that are bypassed by default - like the Ratchet or Tesselator. Try CC#4 (Bypass/Engage) with value 127. If that doesn't do it: does changing presets with MIDI work?
-
@Detgyver To clarify: "5.5mm/2.5mm" means 5.5mm outside diameter, 2.5mm inside diameter.
-
Yes. I have one and it even works with the USB 3 of my computer. But the Birdcord PD ➔ 9V (USB PD Voltage Converter) for USB-C is the better choice for modern USB-C PD power banks and power supplies.
-
Boss PSA 230S is 500mA - not strong enough. A power supply works with the Stomp if it is: 9V DC 1A or more 5.5mm/2.1mm 5.5mm/2.5mm barrel plug center negative
-
Yes. The volume block (like any other block / parameter) can be controlled by an expression pedal but not by a volume pedal.
-
You can't make the Sonicake work as an expression pedal, sorry. You need a proper expression pedal with a 10kOhm linear pot.
-
Go to the input block and check whether it reads "input Return L/R"? -If so: turn the lower knob left so that it reads "input Main L/R", now you have your return blocks back.
-
@theElevators The Pod Go is great. These points in combination are why I got the HX Stomp instead: form factor no variable input impedance no dual amps / cabs no MIDI no Helix Native patch compatibility
-
Nice! It should be a SendL if you use a TRS to XLR cable/adapter with the Send. Doing that you get a mono mix of L and R, you basically get an impedance balanced out (like using Out L only). If you want to send stereo and use a stereo split cable/adapter (or a TRS cable to feed a mixer's stereo in) then SendL/R is the right thing. Be aware that if you use a SendL/R block with a TS cable you hear only the left channel. Be aware that if you use a SendL/R block with a TRS cable you don't hear anything going in a mixer's balanced mono input. SendL is less error prone.

From what I've gathered a reset fixes this. My hunch is that it's related to a corrupt preset. If you can remember which preset you saved last before this issue started to happen and delete it - that *might* fix the issue. It would be nice if you report back if that helped (so that other people benefit from your experience).

AUX (monitor mix) + MAIN L/R (bass) to Phones but AUX not to MAIN L/R (only bass to FOH) is what I'm advocating for. Basically this means you can use monitor mix on phones with straight forward "no fx loop nonsense" patches.
-
I mean it's not a big deal and it works. A Global Settings option to route AUX only to headphones would make things significantly easier though.
