  1. It's really apparent when going direct out to your computer, but (at least for me) the digital clipping disappears if I send the signal to my amp and record with a mic. Annoying that it requires this work-around for something that shouldn't be an issue in the first place, but what can you do (besides sell the POD).
  2. The tone for the chorus (starts at 3:40) would be awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TnNb3cBzuE#t=3m40s
  3. I've found that the Line6 drivers are really strange. My laptop blue screens repeatedly from HD Edit. My desktop doesn't have a problem. I've read that others have the same issue. Not really much you can do to fix it as far as I'm aware. :\
  4. Hi folks, went to record some stuff today with some distortion, and when recording via USB it sounds like "pixelated", though it's not clipping issues. Out of my amp, it sounds normal. I attached two clips to show what I mean, one recorded with a cheap mic of what comes out of my amp (happyface), and then something via USB (sadface). I can't figure out why it's doing that, any help would be appreciated! happyface.mp3 sadface.mp3
  5. Hola! No se como resolver tu problema, pero has probado a recalibrar el pedal otra vez?
  6. Great! At least it's working. :)
  7. Is it possible to create a new patch with a vol pedal that works?
  8. Yeah, using Windows 7, sorry. I ended up doing that so as to prevent auto-updates; I hadn't run into an issue where Windows updates broke a program or drivers until the other day.
  9. Hmm. I haven't run into this issue before (if it ever doesn't default to vol pedal, I just stomp it to switch to it), but just some ideas of things you could do to work around it: First, I would say to double-press Move while highlighting the vol pedal in your chain, and make sure that it is assigned to one of the expression controllers. Then I'd check in HD Edit to see if I can assign it through there. Next, I'd go through and check it any other pedals in my chain is assigned to the expression controller that I want to use for my vol pedal. If that doesn't work, I would say to remove the vol pedal from your chain, then save the patch to a new location, and try adding the vol pedal on this new patch and see if that'll work. Good luck!
  10. Yes, no issue as I now know how to resolve it, however, I am really interested in figuring out why these Microsoft updates are causing this problem. And what's even stranger is that no one update is causing the problem--uninstalling all of them after the update does not fix the issue, as the only way to fix it is to system restore back to before these 4 updates were applied. Very strange to me.
  11. Just to follow up on this... I just spent some time testing out which of these updates caused the problem...and it turns out, none of them did. Microsoft loves their updates and forced me to install them (you can say I was a tad annoyed...). So after they installed, the issue returned, but this time I knew how to fix it! Or so I thought. I started by uninstalling them all (and was planning to reinstall them one at a time), but even after doing that, the issue was still there. Had to do another system restore.
  12. Update: SOLVED!!! After trying literally everything within my power barring a cable change (which I didn't think would fix it), I decided to go for a System Restore. Sure enough, there was a "critical update" from Microsoft on Wednesday, and thankfully there was a Restore Point from before that. Restored to that point, and now it works again. Seems this "critical update" caused some kind of problem(s) for the POD drivers.
  13. Just reinstalled the flash memory, problem is still there. :(
  14. I appreciate all of your help arislaf! I'm going to try later today resetting my POD to factory settings to see if that fixes the issue.
  15. I would, except that the POD drivers cause my laptop to blue screen repeatedly...so I don't have anything to test it on besides this computer.
  16. Already reinstalled twice, problem still persists. I don't have a second cable sadly so I can't test this out. I'm pretty sure it isn't the cable, because I recorded with it earlier this week (Sunday) and the problem popped up last night.
  17. As I said before, I tried other software options (Reaper included), and it's the same result. It pauses periodically in the recording process, then continues, and repeats this the whole time I record. I just tried again for good measure and got the same result. Edit: Do you think resetting my POD to factory settings might fix the issue?
  18. Thanks for the reply. I've reinstalled my recording software (and even tried others to see if it was a problem related to what I'm using to record) and still same results--every 2 seconds or so, the program locks up for a second or two, then continues recording, without recording what was playing while the program was locked up. No virus/malware/etc on my computer. Have had HD Edit open for 10 minutes now, and there have been no issues with that. When recording from another source (such as my microphone used for communication purposes), this problem doesn't appear. The problem lies with the POD somehow.
  19. Been recording via USB with my POD for around a year, and just yesterday a problem popped up...Whenever I'm recording, the program will lock up momentarily (and not record what I'm playing), and then continue to record after a second or two, and it does this every 2 seconds or so. Tried a different USB port, tried restarting my computer, tried reinstalling drivers, and nothing helped. Can anyone help?
