I saw this. If you get the tone I was looking for please let me know :D I don't want to use too much stuff in the signal chain like lot of EQs and stuff, takes up DSP, would be cool to have the tone out of one amp :S I can't get close to that tone, all of them that have powerfull mids, sound boxy

I don't think it's the les paul..... This is pretty much the same tone, I was talking about

The only good amp in the metal pack is the 5150, the others are pretty useless, I'm really dissappointed in the variac'ed plexi. Thought I'm going to have a high gain plexi tone, but it's not near that at all....

So I made this topic, to get specific tones/sounds My first one is: Is there any way to get a sound from the HD 500X like the Axe-FX 2 Marsha HDE? I don't know if Santa Cruz uses Axe or what amp, didn't find any info on it, but it sounds pretty much like the marsha hbe Love that mid range

Yeah the volume i weird, on 40% it's still louder than the ENGL or the others on 70%. I love the 5150 model, but I feel a bit that they put all the work and effort in only that in the metal pack

I only got the MEtal PAck for now, the 5150 slays everything, not much in to the other models, if I could I would have only bought the PV Panama model for cheaper :S Also for me the 5150 with uber cab sounds better with the 409 dynamic than with the 57

I think th HD series is the first modelling unit that can replace the real thing, before not sure....but I think there always be analouge :)

Also this way I can play my bass guitar too in a band if needed :)

I got it today. It sounds pretty f-in good :) The tones I made in my cheap headphones sound pretty awesome, only I had to dial back a bit of bass, because it's pumpin it out really hard :D IT sound really clean, and it is really really loud, and I only had it up to quarter, it's going to be enough for a band practice that's for sure! I think the POD shine this way much better than thourgh a head and cab. Can't wait to try it out in practice session. I think the tones I dial in on the Alto are going to sound awesome through a PA System if we play a concert

My alto ts 112a is going to arrive today, I'm excited. Gonna update how it sounds.

In a live situation, do the sound guy pan one guitar on left and the other on the right? I played lots of times live, didn't really pay attention to this, or both guitars come from both sides? I know on DVDs it's panned left and right like on a studio recording, but thats a different thing.

So having example panned 100% and going one XLR cable to the board will sound as good as having both XLR cable plugged down and having my sound panned to the center?

Ok, so my question is, I know the XLR doesn't sum to mono, would it sound the same to plug both XLRs to the PA and have the guitar panned in the moddle, or if I just want to go with one xlr pan it 100% left and go that way to the PA, would it sound the same? Not using any stereo effects....

Hey! I wanna buy an Alto TS112A, seems lot of people use it for the POD and even the Axe FX, I had enough carring a 35kg cab and 12kg head aound X(. I would be for band practice and maybe venues that doesn't have good monitoring, else I wanna go direct to the PA system. Is it reliable, how does it sound? It has mostly good review, but there are alway a few guys who say it's lollipop unrelieable.

Thanks :) The Uber with 409 alone is a bit crispy, the XXL-V30 with 57on axs helps is to be a bit more creamy, the two are really great together

Ha! I've never heard the POD's JCM800 sound so awesome, nor could I achieve it myself :| This unit takes a lot of learning to make it sound amazing What kind of studio monitors do you have to make your recordings sound so amazing?

Yeah, but lot of other bands use it soit's not a metal amp. But for example, how much jazz bands do you see using a 5150? :D Please Line6 hear my prays, make an Orange PPC 412 cab model!!!!!!!!

Would be cool if they make a Rivera Knucklehead model for the metal pack

Tired it, but to mee, it just doesn't sound the way I want it. Hope they will fix it.....Aren't they hearing it how bad it sounds compared to the other preamp models?

Will the update fix the Bomber Uber pre? Because all the pre amp models through power/cab sound awesome, but the Bomber Uber Pre is just a thin sounding fizzy piece of..... :( and I would love to use that amp :(
