Hi Guys! It's been a while since i was using the boards like HD500x or others (my last one was RP20 and RP21) and i use to use it with AVT 150 full stack . Please can anyone remind me where i should plug the HD500X in the amp to bypass the amps pre-amp ? Was it RETURN In at the back of the amp ? ? Really a silly question but i really don't remember which one it was . Sorry Cheers and RESPECT!!

And it's dead easy ! Download the patch from Line 6 Custom Tone and open the POD HD EDITOR. Then just drag and drop the patch and save on to your Pod HD !!! JOB DONE ! :) Respect!

I totally agree! Loads of it online and people actually PAY for them!! Can not believe! Pointless to buy the patch from a bloke who uses $3000 guitar and $1500 monitors cos no matter what you think it will never sound like this with your own set up! :) But yes it's funny how people think "OH!!! I GOT THIS PATCH NOW AND I WILL SOUND LIKE A GOD!!!" Don't work like this ! Don't waste your money guys just practice and actually learn how to create a decent sound of your own ! And most importantly !-Stop wasting your time looking for the right sound and start playing !!!!! :) Respect!

Hi guys ! I am searching for a fairly priced 212 combo to go with HD500X. Just wondering if anyone is using it with Bugera 333XL 212 combo and if yes then please be this kind and drop a few words on how well this sounds together ? Or any suggestions of other combos that sound really well with 500X . Cheers and Respect !

Hi guys! I am a sort of new HD500X user and having plugging this thing into different amps i am getting a totally different sounds each time i use different head or combo. Right i know you're gonna say" yes it will sound different cos all amps / heads will color the sound in a different way" .... . I have tried this with Yamaha combo , Marshall Valve combo and a line 6 combo and head as well. EVEN after keeping all the settings to neutral Bass 5 Mid 5 High 5 Presence 5 etc. in each combo / amp the sound i was getting was very different . . . some sucked as well . . . MY QUESTION HERE . Have anyone tried the HD500X with something like Laney Iron Heart IRT-X or any different FRFR unit ? And is the FRFR speakers the only correct way of using the full potential of HD 500X ? What is the best way to use this unit and achieve a professional true sound ? Thanks and respect guys!

Thanks for all the help guys! ! I have now got this to work ! It would probably work first time but i was expecting the program to list the patches so i can choose the one i want to convert but this program simply doesn't list them !!! So really yo need to select the folder with the patch ,without selecting the specific patch and whatever sits in that folder (even though you can't see nothing in it!) and press Run!!! JOB DONE ! Sometimes simple solution can be a lot more hard to find that a well complicated one!!! LOL Respect !

Thanks duncann!! I suppose a lot of us would consider and will eventually consider buying some extra HD packs but i think we need to write a group email to Line 6 explaining that the price they ask for it is little high! :lol: And then when the price goes down eventually a lot more people will decide to actually buy the packs resulting in more profit for Line 6 in the long run!!! I am no economist but it makes a lot of sense doesn't it ? Respect !

Oh! Just a thought ! Is there a possibility of using the Helix patches on 500X ? Or will it be possible in the near future ? Anyone is working on this currently ? :) Because if yes,then making a software capable of transferring those into a 500X compatible would be a HOLY GRAIL !! Respect !!!

Thanks a lot B! I am giving up tho ..... I have created a folder- PATCHES on my desktop and downloaded just a few (to test if it works) Patches from different model ending with file extension - patch name.pxe . then i run the program and select the folder PATCHES from my desktop hoping that the program will show any patches in there that could possibly be selected and then converted to different format . unfortunately no matter what i do selecting the correct folder named PATCHES containing what i have downloaded shows an empty folder. therefore the program doesn't recognize anything inside that would be compatible with the program. Makes no sense to me know ..... But hey!!!!!!!! I suppose there really isn't a point downloading the patches from the older devices as they will never be as good as the ones from the new device RIGHT ? At the end of the day if the item is discontinued and the new is released that means that the internal parts have been updated and what it comes with it , is the faster and better quality CPU with new operating software. So really a way better path to create a unique sound will always be creating a new sound instead of looking through some old ones and hoping to find this PERFECT SOUND :) But the idea of being able to transfer them around is still GREAT ! OH! Thanks BillBee! I have downloaded the soft and tried in many different ways but no matter what i do the program does not see the patches that i have downloaded? Strange. I have even tried manually force drag the patch to the folder but it doesn't let me do it ! how frustrating. . What am i missing ? And where do i find 3rd party patches? does this mean that i can use Boss sound patches and convert to POD patches ? This would be awesome!!!! Thanks BillBee!!

Also is it possible to load patches from different HD Family Pods to the HD500X ? Thanks very much in advance ! Respect!!

Dear team Line 6 .I have just bought a as new condition Line 6 Valve and cab. The only issue that i am finding is the master volume pot being jumpy.... i can set the vol to 1 and when move to 2 or even below the amp is jumping and pomping nearly full power to the cab. Can i get this sorted by posting the whole plate to you so you can guys replace the pot ? please contact me ASAP as i need the amp. Kind regards .Al
