Hi I mainly play my hd500x at home using headphones but wondered how it would sound through a Blackstar Beam or Blackstar fly3? Has anyone tried these amps?

Thanks guys. I mainly use the patches and am ok doing things this way. I just felt that I was starting to use the same amp and cabs but with different effects. I guess it's easy using the edit software to copy the amp set up and change the pedals. Overall though I'm pleased with the unit. Sooo much you can play with although I'm finding I'm spending more time tweaking than playing

Hi I've been using my POD in preset/patch mode and have some nice patches covering various styles. I usually have say a Fender type amp with different pedal effects in the chain to be turned on/off. I'd like to try Pedalboard mode tonight to see what that offers but at the moment I don't have an external AMP (yet). Can I still use the pedalboard mode and say place 8 effects (on switches 1-8)....and use an amp model from the pod? this seems the same as patch mode? or would the pedalboard mode need to utilise an external amp? Sorry for the silly question :O/

Hi I've created several patches that I'm pleased with. Just wondered how anyone else sets up patches. I've found (using the edit software) that 2 amps appear to sound more dynamic that say a noise gate...compressor...amp....reverb etc. I've tried to get a nic accoustic sound but this seems to be the hardest to achieve?. Any tips on amp and settings?. Also looking for a nice Metal sound and U2 delay settings....any pointers would be welcome. Thanks

Hi I'll try and explain as best I can. I've created a few new patches and switched their positions around using the edit software...saved them down.Now...when I switch my pod 500x off/on again the new patches and order don't seem to be there?. I have to then manually save each new patch on the 500x itself. I must be doing something wrong here?. When I read anything a little * appears next to the patch.

I really like the Octo reverb. It's great for U2 stuff. It's like the edge ' shimmer effect.

Hi I have had the POD HD500X for a few weeks (after owning a Digitech RP500). I'm very impressed and seem to have got though the early learning curve in creating some patches. My question/advice needed is I used 1 amp with various effects in front (reverb after amp etc..) and they sounded "ok". I then downloaded a patch from this site that had a pre-amp and another amp and it sounded amazing. How do you all go about creating your tones. (I play Smashing Pumpkins...U2...Incubus...RHCP etc) so have a fair amount of different patches I want to create. I also seem to keep saving over previous patches I've created?. (a drag and dop error I guess from me when using the editor via a PC...which is great by the way). Cheers guys
