hi, thanks you get the bundle here: https://gumroad.com/l/ggjUW personally, being a low gain amp, I dont change the settings to make all the good sound from the pickup in the videos I alternated both the humbucker and the single coil. If you really want to make some small changes i suggest you play a little with the gain of the amp or put in principle an overdrive pedal with zero gain and play with the tone and volume knob, use the minotaur if you want a more rounded sound with a little push on the medium-high or the 808 if you want more medium-low and more grain. If you want to subscribe to my youtube channel, more presets will be coming.

If it sounds too compressed it is usually caused by too high gain or with too dominant low frequencies the trick, even in the recording studio, is not to have an amplifier with exaggerated gain, just use a little trick, use an amplifier that is very responsive to palm muting or a combination of pedal + amp and realize a different preset for L channel and R channel. Basically the stock cabs of the helix has a very dark and undefined sound, you can work around this by using a combination of the 4x12 T75 and a touch of equalizer to reduce the mids and increase the treble a little. My favourite metal amp was Badonk and ENGL, with a touch on the bias you can correct many part of the sound. If you share you preset and describe what guitar you use I can give you more precise suggestions

I had something similar to your situation, before helix I had several rack preamps and a rack power amp, when I took the helix I did the test using the emulation of the premp (not the heads) and using the rack power amp that i had. I had evidence that the guitar power amp alters the sound in a similar way to a preamplifiers, so everything was altered by the power amp. I have replaced the power amp with another one with custom guitar power amp with more neutral sound but the character of the power amp always made itself felt, so i have replaced it again with an a HiFi integrated amp and a HiFi Spekaer solving everything with the IR. A guitar power amp alter the sound like a clean channel of the preamp, but with slight differences on certain aspects. PS: sorry for my bad english

It was a joke, i did not mean to offend, but I thank you for the accurate answer. I will definitely buy it, I bought the Helix rack at the launch, and i tried other products that made me always glad of my Helix choice.
