To my knowledge, this is not true. The POD Go cannot send any MIDI of any kind. It can only receive messages via USB.

Little late on this one - but I would think an Android app like this would work for your purposes: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.volcanomobile.midi_controller. Hardwire your phone or tablet via USB to the POD Go. This is similar to what I would use on the iPad to send preset changes. Once you learn the MIDI syntax required to set up one "button" (that triggers one preset), it should be pretty copy and paste from there.

I am a POD Go owner since May 2020. I experience almost the same issue - but only when using POD Go as an interface in a DAW. For my application, I use POD Go Edit in one window to modify patches/parameters while I have Logic Pro X running on a separate window to monitor the level. After some period of time, the "lag" you mentioned starts to creep in and affect the output signal by 2-3 seconds. I can usually correct the problem by either 1) closing the Logic Pro file and restarting or 2) closing the DAW entirely and restarting. Sometimes a single reset will be enough that the problem doesn't reappear; other times, it will come back in a few minutes. I have never powered off the POD Go to fix the issue. Let me be clear - you should not be worried that this will happen during normal "gig" applications (when the POD Go is using 1/4" Main Outs into DI/a mixing board). I have been gigging with the POD Go for over two years with no issue. I believe this is a digital quirk that only affects the USB interface when it is used as an interface. It totally depends on your applications, but for me, this quirk is not a deal-breaker and I don't consider my unit malfunctioning. Hope this helps, Andrew

I am quite happy with my purchase, still to this day. I purchased originally in Jan 2020 a few days after it was announced. Finally arrived in May 2020 after COVID supply/shipping delays. I could be wrong, but none of the other units (Boss GX100, Mooer, etc) provide a feature akin to the Snapshot mode. To me, this is the single greatest benefit of the POD Go. Building one preset per song and then using Snapshots to correspond to each song part - main crunch riff, clean, solo with delay, etc. - is essential to my workflow. This is a huge reason why I haven't moved away from the POD Go. I love the Edit software and think it is very easy to use when constructing new sounds. I love the feel of the built-in volume/expression pedal. I think that a lot of the amp/effect sounds are excellent. I haven't been able to get a great sound for the pitch shifting/dual harmony, but it's still workable. Only other issue I have is the lack of 5-pin MIDI/the USB MIDI does not work wirelessly with WIDI Uhost. But other than that, honestly don't have any complaints about it. I use mine for solo acoustic gigs, for my cover band, and I'm about to use it for recording. I am excited for whatever the v2 of the POD Go will be, but in the meantime, I am very comfortable with POD Go for the foreseeable future.

Hello all, I'm writing about an odd and frustrating phenomenon that makes my POD Go unusable. I have never experienced this issue anywhere except one particular venue. This leads me to believe that there is something going on with the electrical situation. I plug all of my gear into various Furman 6-spot outlets, which in turn all get plugged into one Furman power conditioner. That conditioner is plugged into the wall at the venue. This is how I run every show, no matter where. The only difference would be when I'm at home making sounds in POD Go Edit and I don't need to use the power conditioner. So back to the issue that I encounter at this venue. Upon powering on the POD Go and testing guitar signal - it might be okay for a minute or so. But then the signal starts to cut out. Upon inspecting the Volume Pedal block, I have noticed that the volume percent keeps fluctuating out of control. I wish I had a video to share what I mean. I've got the guitar strapped to me, bent over to look at the screen - and the % indicator is jumping from 0 to 85 to 40 to 100 to 18, etc. When I move the actual pedal, it has no effect on the %. This part is ridiculous to me, but sometimes I can get the signal to come through when I am standing in a particular spot or I have one leg in the air. Has anyone ever experienced things like this before? I've tried using multiple power supplies and powering the POD Go by itself right from the conditioner (bypassing the 6 spot). No success. None of my other gear has issues. I had to use a backup MFX unit because of this issue and it really detracted from the performance. Would love to see if anyone has input they can share. Another user mentioned that they have never had success with the WIDI Uhost and any of the Helix/HX devices.

Carl, I am having the exact same issue with the Uhost I just purchased. It flashes that it receives my preset change messages, but nothing happens on the POD Go. I've reached out to CME and am currently troubleshooting with them as well as on their CME Experts forum. Will keep you updated if I hear anything. -Andrew

I do not personally have experience with Android devices, but it looks like MIDI works similarly to iOS. Through reading, I found that Android started supporting MIDI in 2015. So I assume any Android devices after this time should have the functionality, either through USB or Bluetooth (MIDI BLE). In addition to the cable connection, you would need an app that can send MIDI commands to test it. If you are using it on a song-by-song basis to change presets like me, maybe you already have an app that you use that can also send MIDI commands. What you are describing when hitting the Mode button sounds like the expected outcome, which is to view the Stomp Mode within that current Preset/Snap. If you hit the Bank Up and Down buttons simultaneously, does it switch from Preset view to Snapshot view? That's how I typically go from viewing Presets (within a Bank of 4) to viewing the Snapshots for a specific Preset (4 snaps for one Preset). I am new here so I apologize if I am not understanding the question correctly.

If you have an iPhone/iPad, it will work as a host. This is what I use regularly to change presets. I use my iPad (I think it's a 6) connected with the Camera Connection Kit. One cable that is USB Male A (plugged into Camera Connection Kit) to Male B (POD Go). The iPad is running the ForScore app and I program custom buttons to send CC messages. Ch.1/ CC32/ 1 (for user preset bank)/x (have to calculate manually, but it starts at 0). Can't speak for the Kenton, but I can confirm that I use Apple devices to change presets with no drivers required or anything.
