True the QC has been a nightmare in terms of its development process. Very slow, overhyped. Under delivered in terms of updates. BUT the capture process and how they sound has been exceptional since the very beginning. Line 6 has a history of making very steady and meaningful improvements. And I know they take their user bases opinions to heart. I know Line 6 can make proxy exceptional if they devote the resources and I hope they do.

Soo validating to hear!! I too have felt the high gain captures sub par. I haven’t heard or seen this too much on the web. But the captures do not sound nearly as satisfying as in the QC. and Xone I totally have experienced the capture “improving” the amp somewhat on the QC. Particularly for high gain, tight rhythm tones, sometimes the QC doesn’t nail the amp perfectly but the result is somehow MORE inspiring to play. Haven’t experience that with Proxy. I really hope Proxy is a work in progress and improvements will be made.

Hey Spaceman. Good thoughts. I recognize you from the QC forum. I have both and enjoy using both but have been more used to the QC. I had a hx stomp before I got the QC but never had a full helix. i keep double tapping on blocks to try to disengage them. Would be a nice easy thing to incorporate. I agree with your looper thoughts too.

Forgive me if this has been addressed previously. I noticed today when rehearsing some songs using showcase, the delay times were SUPER short. Almost like the BPM of the midi clock is doubled from what it should be. A 120 bpm song feels like it’s 240bpm with respect to the delay midi clock. as soon as I pause the song the delays go back to a normal length. Seems to be affecting all songs with all presets on my unit. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah I have a 3 channel amp I just cloned and to use 3 proxy clones it eats up significant cpu. Very similar to an agoura amp. had to cut some blocks out of my preset. top row: simple pitch (can’t use poly), compressor, phaser, 2 proxy clones bottom row: one proxy clone, volume block, gray flanger, stereo elephant man, two stereo reverb blocks and the deluxe looper. so it’s not the worst. There is room for a few things but you definitely have to be intentional.

Yea several of us have had this issue. Check out this thread and try the factory reset and reload. Has worked for me so far.

You’d wanna use one of the 16 lightning bolt commands from the command center. set the command to respond to snapshots and set appropriately (press and turn of select the switch in the menu) I got this to work with my Revv G50 which uses midi. I think should also work with the trs footswitch but not home to try it.

Oh man. Thank you so much! This works perfectly!! it took like 30 seconds once you helped this click in my head. Just assign the CC control to snapshot control. Done. only had to use one instant command. Wow. Once again amazed by the ease of use with Line 6 gear.

It’s too bad he didn’t wait like two more days before he sent it back. The 1.2.1 update addressed majority of what he was complaining about. He’ll be back…

Just my two cents (coming from a guy who jumped on the Neural DSP/QC bandwagon early in 2020...), I think Line 6 is crushing it. This is a brand new modeler and they have in a short time already made drastic improvements. I understand it's a LOT of money to invest in something that isn't fully developed yet but that's what you gotta do these days. I feel like in 3 months Line 6 has done more than Neural DSP had done in a couple of years. Moving much faster with more transparent timeline and messaging. I love that. I feel happy coming along for the ride with the stadium and find it exciting. Showcase is awesome and something that's never been done. Proxy I am very excited for. I'm willing to go on the journey with Line 6 and have a lot of respect for Eric Klein and company. Me and others with a QC have been waiting 5 years for some things that were promised to happen "SOON" after launch (ie. plugin compatibility), lol. If you need the OG helix with gapless preset switching, I would recommend gigging that and holding off on the Stadium. The OG helix is a fully mature product and there's nothing wrong with relying on that. I have a feeling gapless preset switching is coming...

Hello all! I'm new to my Helix StadiumXL and working on sending some midi commands to my amp. Question: In Command Center, can you send midi commands when you switch snapshots? It appears only able to do so using StompA or B and using the commands triggered loading the preset. Just wanted to double check I'm not missing something easy I can make it work using stomp mode but it would be nice to attach a midi out command to each snapshot switch. thanks!

Are you on the 1.2.1 firmware?

Loving my stadium. huge big fix just dropped like 32 days after releasing the showcase update. looks like most major bugs are fixed. Line6 is obviously working their tail off while pushing forward into uncharted territory. I think they’re crushing it. Hope yours comes soon so you can try it out.

Here’s the only difference I did which has worked for me. Hope it works for you too. Delete songs (maintenance menu) backup (maintenance menu) factory reset (maintenance menu) restore backup (maintenance menu) reimport (Stadium App)
