ok i have done the update and like always i did the backup and full factory reset and brought everything back in and it works and possibly even sounds better than it ever has. now i won't be taking advantage of anything new in this update because i bought and use professional presets that have always sounded amazing since day one. now these are the best presets i have bought to date and they are so good I'll never waste my time trying or buying anything else. if anyone else is interested this is the link down below. so, IMO if you can make you own or buy professional presets then these updates most likely will only make the unit sound better and not change the preset in anyway and that's a good thing because they are amazing and don't need to be changed. maybe one day ill mess around with the new features but i haven't yet in any update i just do them because I'm the type of person i update EVERYTHING on my pc when it has one lol. now if they can only fix the windows 11 driver problem with memory integrity, I'll be really happy !!@!! Pod Go - Fremen Presets

im cant remember everything, but a 3 years ago i used my pod go as my audio interface and then purchased and returned a Focusrite Scarlette audio interface because i thought it would be better, but then i realized there was no difference between the 2, and i was using cakewalk as my DAW, and tried the free ones that came with the Focusrite Scarlette, i do remember tho, the standalone plugins sounded better than going through the DAW, that was the only difference i noticed, so the pod go ranks up there with the best ones and i recorded and reamped with it and it sounded awesome, then i got sick of recording and using plugins, i felt once i bought professional presets for my pod go, it blew any plugin away by far imo, and i gave up on recording because its honestly very complicated and took up most of my time instead of playing.

i had no idea really, all i know is my pod go works with usb and headphones when connected to my windows 10 laptop, but not on my windows 11 desktop, Microsoft blamed line 6 and its drivers, they had to remote in and remove them all so windows security would work, i did a search and i cant even find core isolation or memory integrity on my laptop for that matter and it has all the latest windows 10 updates etc, kinda odd hmm, so i have no idea but thx for the info.

yeah, same issue here, thank god i kept my windows 10 laptop, pretty sad, i cant even use my brand new gaming pc for this, because of the problem with memory integrity and windows 11.

i have the orange pedal baby and use it with a 4x12 cab with celestion speakers, couldnt dial in a sound i liked, so i went and bought Freman presets after months of researching presets, his are the best for the style of music we play imo, i have everything he makes and love them, he is a real studio engineer, look him up here on the line 6 web marketplace or his own web page, the only thing i did was shut off the ir when using my amp n cab and added a tighter gate for rhythm patches-metal haha, they sound amazing through headphones and if ya practice covers like it sounds you do and i as well,, with the pod go connected to your pc, then go to youtube and start man in the box-enter sandman whatever per say,,,adjust the YT volume to match the pod go volume and its like u r in the band and playing through headphones sounds incredible and its the only way i practice now lol, and on the pedal baby i keep the bass n treble at 9 o'clock and master at noon, and adjust the pod go volume knob accordingly when i use it that way, BUT for over a year now, since i have discovered playing covers through the pod go using headphones and YouTube, i haven't used my amp n cab since, if ya need more help, if you decide to purchase any of his presets, get ahold of me and ill tell ya exactly what ones i use and love, tc man !!@!!

yeah i noticed it on mine also its def there without a doubt......i only use about 4 presets for my various tunings there all affected by the update....and i seem to really notice it on my standard tuned guitars anything say drop c - standard e....anything lower than drop c sounds better than it ever did...i keep one guitar in drop b it never sounded better and my 7 string is in drop a and wow....so yes i have the same problem but on the lower tuned guitars it makes them sound better but on the higher tuning ugh im gonna have to readjust and that just sucks i had everything set perfect and it sounded great any guitar

i have to agree with voxman here....it already was loaded ide like to see what he and i and others want and ask for at the ideascale web site....give us more flexibility and the ability to turn off blocks we dont need or use and add useful features not more amps and effects..or options in pod go edit and things we can actually benefit from..if ya dont have good presets by now you probably never will so we need other refinements and options or else there will be alot of used pod go units for sale lol

yep and i get it...sure the helix lt would be the easier way to go..but right now mf has the stomp xl on sale 100 bux off with 48 month financing thats a steal ..so both units combined cost less than the lt and i dont have to try n sell the pod go n all that hassle and i believe the 2 of these combined are almost as good....now with that being said i was looking at the stomp xl manual and they even show a way of hooking up like i wanna...but i see one thing the pod go doesnt have they show in the diagram....it may not even matter lol...but if ya look they show the 2 inputs and the send and return from the stomp xl going to n from the multi fx in the scematic in the stomp xl owners manual....so with the pod go it would be one and one....thats the only confusing part and they dont tell ya much lol

ok so here is what i wanna do...instead of selling my pod go and buying a helix lt i came up with this idea.....using the pod go for volume..wah and digital effects...then the hx stomp for the dual distortion option and gate and overdrives..eqs..ect....what would be the best way to hook them up...hx stomp into the pod go fx loop ? or the other way around ? and would i use trs cables or regular ones ? and then finally where would the fx loop sit in the preset chain for this to work the right way ? if anyone has the answer let me know...

yeah who knows.... just more glitches in the system i guess lol..i just resave the ir to the preset problem solved lol
-
i get that same message every now and again and its with presets that i think the ir isn't saved to....so what i do is always load the irs first...some require an exact location some dont...then i just resave as grdg033 said...there are certain things i have noticed with loading presets and that happens when the ir is loaded first and i do believe the person who made the preset forgot to save the ir to the preset....so its a simple fix...the one i cant figure out is when ya load irs and it gives a memory issue error message but they work in say other ir loaders or in my daw,,,have yet to figure that one out...had that happen with 2 presets-irs only...and they were free ones from youtube

wanted to know what other users do....do you use the volume knob on your amp to control your overall volume or the one on the pod go ? i normally keep mine off on the pod go by using the main out setting in global settings and run amp out to the front of my orange pedal baby 100 and say at normal practice level the orange is set on 1.....then yesterday i started thinking about what if i set it to amp out in global and use the pod go volume knob and set the orange amp volume to say 5 as a starting point then just slightly increase the pod go volume till i get desired volume...now one thing i noticed doing this is the volume knob is very inaccurate you can have it at say 9 o clock position and just tap it and it gets louder...its a shame it isnt exact...it should be exact and precise but its not....i dont seem to notice it as much using headphones....and of course i know the channel volume and master volume of the given amp im using plays into this...so with that being said i mainly leave both at 2.0 that seems to be a sweet spot for me....who woulda thought having to many volume controls would cause this much confusion....and now all this sounds great at low volumes i have never had the opportunity yet to crank it up past 1....maybe 1.5... im in a 10x15 area in my basement and there is always somebody home lol....so yeah gimme your feedback guys.....gals...ect...lol
