Firmware 2.21 Assigning a CC Toggle to Footswitch setting dim value and lit value Problem: As I switch through my snapshots the values are reversed. My application: Assigning footswitch to MIDI Mix Control on my Big Sky. When I hit the footswitch it increases the mix. Unfortunately, when I change snapshots the MIX is automatically switched even without the footswitch being pressed. Has anyone else had problems with this? Is there a workaround? Should I submit a bug report? thanks JeffM

Anyone else have issues with crazy digital sounds proceeding a lock up? Its happened a couple times to me since I updated to the latest 2.20 firmware. Now my unit is hung at black screen :( I submitted a support request but wanted to see if anyone else had anything like this happen and if there were known remedies. Thanks!

What am I missing here? I make a few tweaks to a preset and want to save it somewhere else from the editor so I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL. If I press 'save' it overwrites. Is there a 'Save-as' equivalent for saving a preset (from the editor)?
-
nope, you are right. It is looking at the pedal position to determine the setting. Thx!
-
you are right about all that and I did unassign the exp2 because it is not needed. It appears to be working now that I've done a global reset.
-
so, I did a complete reset (9,10) and now it works fine....sheesh
-
thx...yes, support ticket has been created

seriously? you set the pan to left 100%, then saved the preset, then changed to another preset, then came back to the original preset and it was still at left 100%? Wow, I must have really done something weird to cause this then.

I just posted this to support and in the bug topic: Firmware: v1.10.0 (and prior) Bug: When saving preset with Pan set to 100% Left, preset recalls with Pan set to 100% Right (Step by step description of how to reproduce bug) Add Stereo PAN and set to Left 100% Save preset and switch to another preset Come back to preset you saved and see that now Stereo PAN is set to Right 100%

This did not fix the issue for me.

The problem is when streaming audio to/from the Mac via USB. It's very aggravating. I have an active support ticket on this topic.

What version of FW?
-
I think maybe you were running out of DSP and that is why you weren't able to select the Multitap delay. Try making another path and see if you get it. You should be able to add a mono delay no problem.

I have a digitech RP500 that has USB interface to my MAC. THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH IT. Why can't my Helix do that? Granted there are only two USB I/O.

Line6 Discontinuing JTVs?
johoffry replied to johoffry's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
The reason I got mine was to complement my new Helix. I'm hoping for a lot more integration but little scared at same time. -
I just got off the phone with MF. They said the replacement guitar that I'm getting (bad model selector knob) will be part of the last shipment they expect to receive from L6 for this model. It may just be this JTV69 model but they said L6 is discontinuing the model. Any better information on this subject?

When you get your Helix stereo patch setup I'd be interested to see it. Let me know!
-
I do, however, see a lot of patches that break the amp signal into two cabs. Does this somehow affect the stereo signal?
-
I've heard that some artists play live in stereo where they have a left channel going into one amp and a right channel going into another amp of different type so that each stereo channel has it's own characteristics. If I can do this with the Helix then that would justify using a stereo patch to FOH alone. I'm confused how I'm supposed to do that with the Helix. I don't see any patches that do that sort of thing. Ideas? Also, it would be great to add post stereo effects like delay, reverb and Mod. I'm confusing myself thinking of the possibilities. Before Amp(L), Before AmpĀ®, after, etc.
-
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has looked into the optimum way to feed the helix into FOH sound system. Should I send two channels or one? XLR vs 1/4. Pan left/right completely/partially? I'd be interested to hear thoughts and concerns!
-
so now that they finally let me plug into the snake I am seeing a different issue. It appears that the FOH mix is extremely dry. We couldn't figure out whey this would be different. In-ears seems very WET so that seems to be a different issue. Bottom line, neither mix sounds like what I get in my headphone mix from the Helix. Any ideas?
-
I really don't understand the TEMPLATE 4CM however. There is only one SEND/RETURN block.
-
I have not checked that. I did think about it but then thought it had to be panned because my 'in-ear' mix was definitely WET. I should check though to make sure though. Thanks!
