This is what i ended up doing. uninstalled HX Edit and Line 6 updater. Reinstalled both and then restarted Helix LT because HX Edit still wouldn't connect. After that all went well. Thank you everyone for your time and suggestions.

My Helix LT worked just fine yesterday. Today there's a firmware update and it all goes to crap. The Line 6 updater has never shown any of my hardware so i've never used it. I did manage to find the 3.01.0 update and d/l it. Then when I try to open it, it wants me to d/l an app to open the d/l? I'm perplexed.

when I open Line 6 updater it's a blank screen. At the top it says "select device to update". There's a black screen

None of my Line 6 hardware shows up on the Line 6 updater software.

I didn't see a d/l on the updates page for 3.01

No, It crashes within seconds of opening it. Then I have to restart the Helix to start the process all over.

The update would be great...........If I can keep the HX edit from crashing long enough to update it. Any suggestions?

Thanks Gentlemen. I'll look into these 2 suggestions. Edit: Upon further inspection it seems I have HX Edit version 2.90. I'll attempt to update this and see what happens.

I experienced a similar anomaly but I use Helix LT on W10. Seems like it took several different tries and reboots before it resolved itself. Now I'm experiencing a different issue with HX Edit crashing constantly with the error stating "connection interrupted". Trying to resolve that issue now.

Starting sometime today my HX Edit software crashes and says " connection interrupted". I'm on a W10 OS and havent had a problem until tonight. I reboot the Helix LT and then reopen HX Edit and sometimes it'll take about a minute to crash and sometimes almost immediately. I have the current firmware V 2.92.0 I'm perplexed. Any ideas? Yep, I'm gonna own an HX Stomp. I was originally looking at the Helix...way too much gear and too pricey, so i looked at the LT, better price still a lot of money. Helix Native i don't believe can run in stand alone mode (vst only?) Then HX Stomp makes it's appearance. Ya, this is settled.

Yikes! I sincerely hope they change that soon.

I'm also upset that Line6 basically left their Guitarport/Gearbox units to die. Gearbox was and is the best damn software out there. I can't find a replacement and I know someday I'll need to. The functionality of that software is incredible. Nobody even includes mp3 players with their software any more. Gearbox has the mp3 player, section looper, half speed w/o pitch change. Just a shame they left it to die and everything with it. When mine quits working that's where Line6 and I part ways.

Am I understanding this right? I need to have a "smartphone" to control the Amplifi TT? There's no "app" to control it for mac or pc? If it's hooked up via USB to record you need to have a phone to remotely control it? There's nothing like Gearbox or Podfarm? It's a tabletop unit controlled by a phone app.

I got the pod farm 1.12 downloaded and then tried to update monkey. I get "monkey dowmload failed" Reason:(code80002049) Sockets: connection reset. If you have popup blockers,anti spyware, or antivirus programs running, try temporariloy disabling them. I disabled everything I could find and still no go. same error code every time. Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64 bit OS.

How do i D/L this pod farm 1.12 if it's a upgrade from gearbox? Will it work with my guitarport and Pod X3? I have a laptop with W7 that I'm worried about it working on.
