So....4 months ago Line6 said to wait patiently for Big Sur compatibility. And the programmers knew it was coming so they would have had a head start. Any news/clue from anyone on the status of this? (unless I missed an email or can't read their website properly...which could be true!)

It's not worth the trouble @ this point...they'll get it eventually. I do run Bootcamp for Steam / StarWars Squadrons....legit!

Sorry...I did write "of all the software I use....". Completely aware that there are others but not in my direct MBP/macOS usage.

Tks for the details - I'll clearly be waiting. It is somewhat annoying (say whatever you want about macOS upgrades) that of all the software I use for business (pro audio company) and personal (logic, mainstage) that Line6 is the ONLY company that isn't ready.

Tks Sean - I DO use Helix Native in MainStage for playing live so I guess I'll hold off to be safe. Tks for the detailed answer - really appreciate it. I also have the 2019 16" MBP w/ SSD and a ton of RAM btw...great machine but I don't want to mess w/ another OS instance. It is my work computer and everything else I need is already Big Sur ok for work...but I'm not forced to so sitting still is fine for now. Tks, again

but does anyone know about Helix Native? That's all I use (w/ Logic and MainStage)

I use Helix Native w/ an Apogee GIO pedalboard and when I open Helix in the channel strip the Looper effect/feature is grayed out. Is there a way to access this feature in Helix Native? I have transport buttons on the pedalboard that would be perfect for assigning to loop controls. Tks/A

I’m only using Helix Native...I did update to v3 on Catalina this week successfully. Just waiting for the ok on Big Sur. Sine it’s only a plug-in I was hoping it might be ok but would prefer Line6 make that statement officially

I posted also (yesterday) wondering the same thing. Helix Native is fine in Catalina w/ MainStage and Logic but I don't want to break my system....

I have the email announcement for V3.0 for my Helix Native...but it doesn't mention Big Sur - is this the fix or do I still need to wait to upgrade the macOS? Tks/A

true...i started w/ MS3 in February and it's been a chore to say the least...and i have a BS in computer science...programmer. And i own an AV company so use computers/software all the time....but if you step back and remember that it's non-intuitive, it seems you are able to find what you need in MS3. peace

Did finally get Tap to work ...i'd tried that 'sync to host' but not consistently. In my brief experience, it seems that the Time/Note option in HXN for the delay block has to be on Note for this to work. Tks to your help and a lot of "boy, MS3 does things non-intuitively" work i did get a 5 song concert set up w/ the GIO and HXN for church this morning and all went well. Good to move past the stock Logic plug-ins and into the Helix world so now i think i'm cool w/ putting my POD X3 Pro and Shortboard up on ebay. ...now to customize HXN tones like i did my X3...

SO...i did last night figure out how to use the GIO to control the Helix Native stomp boxes...Can't use the learning system, have to hard program it but it works. Only issue now is to get to the tap tempo for a delay block w/ a Switch or Knob. Unclear to me in HXN how to make that appear externally.

Been looking @ articles but nothing that explains how to get a pedal emulator from Helix Native assigned to the pedalboard implementation in the GIO Concert. Maybe i wasted my $$ on Helix Native because if i can only play the presets it's useless for live.

It's the only one i've tried. If there's good link for my application i'd be glad to watch it. The controlling factor is that i need it to work w/ the GIO Concert structure so i retain that foot pedal's functionality....unless there's a better way! TKS MUCH

I've been on MainStage just this year (2018) making the move from full hardware (Pod X3 Pro) to full computer (hyped up MacBookPro) w/ Apogee GIO for the pedal board. Using regular Logic virtual amps and pedals works well but i've just bought the Helix Native plugin and am confused at how to map parameters to the GIO. I want to be able to assign the virtual stomp box pedals in the Helix patches to the pedal buttons on my GIO. For example, I can use the full Helix patch just fine as an "Audio FX" but i can't figure out how to pull the delay from that and assign it to a GIO pedal and tap like the GIO concert wants. Same would be true for bypassing the distortion block or chorus or phaser...any of the parameters. Ideas?

I've not needed to do any programming on my X3 Pro for quite some time (kind of quit doing anything new after Line 6 had driver problems a couple of years ago). Today, with a lot of forum reading, i finally have everything working ( Monkey, License app...) except Gearbox complains about the USB driver in the X3 Pro. I can sort of load/save patches but it wipes out pretty much anything you touch. Is there no newer Gearbox that will work OR another one of the Line6 applications that will talk to my X3 Pro? I'd really like to work on a couple of new tones but this is pretty annoying. TKS

tks...but that's a bit discouraging for a product that's really not too old for Line6 to sunset it's software and not provide a forward path.

I'm trying (using GearBox until i know what else to use) to manipulate the order of the stomp effects. My goal is to put the volume pedal (ShortBoard) as the last pedal, right after Delay. If i move Delay to 'pre' it doesn't sound like it should (delay should be at the end...) but if i'm heavy on a patch w/ a lot of delay and volume down on the pedal the Delay keeps going instead of muting like i need to. Is there a secret to more flexibility w/ this ?

UPDATE on my plight - turns out this link posted by TheRealZap is for StageScape M20D, not the 7.2.9 drivers. This 'fix' did not work for me. Terminal says i 'forgot' the 7.3.6 drivers. This linked download doesn't really look like the 7.2.9 it's supposed to. After the reboots and everything Monkey still says i'm on 7.3.6 but when i go back to terminal to re-forget it, i'm told it's not there. awesomely stuck.

What are we supposed to use instead of GearBox moving forward? (X3 Pro is my device)

Greetings - also having issues w/ my X3 Pro and GearBox. I hadn't connected to my Mac for a couple of months perhaps so not entirely certain what's the culprit but here's the info: MacBook Pro, OSX Mavericks 10.9.1 Monkey says i'm on 7.3.6 drivers (all latest as of today) - Device firmware 2.10 Line6 License manager - v1.07 - it sees my X3 and reports the S/N and says 'YES' to 'authorized' - also confirms that my MacBook is authorized GearBox is 3.72 - when i start GB it says it's "ignoring connection to POD X3 Pro. This device has an incompatible driver installed" Has something changed in Line6 land where GB is no longer the right software? I see Pod Farm2 is now installed but i don't have a license for it. Is that what we should use now? TKS
