  1. I too have just got hold of a Pod Go and very good it is too! I have an amplifier with a stereo effects loop, a Fender Princeton Chorus and I would like to use this for for my delays, chorus effects, reverb etc. It doesn't seem that the 4 cable method as I've seen it described on line will work for this? I'm thinking I'll need to take the left and right main outputs and feed then into the stereo effects loop return, does this sound correct? Thanks
  2. Mmmm...not so impressed to see an important safety warning for my Relay G10 that requires a firmware update and then to discover that the updater will not install on my Mac, which is on Catalina
  3. I'm trying to create some new tunings for my Variax JTV-69S (it's connected via my POD HD500 to Workbench on my MAC) all software is up to date according to Line 6 Monkey I think I've done everything right, defined the string pitches muted the low E string etc. The low E is now muted but none of the string pitches actually change, Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Cheers
  4. Does anyone know if my HD500 will work with a condenser microphone? I'm pretty sure I have set the inputs up correctly on the HD500 but am wondering if the XLR microphone connection does not provide the phantom power supply the mic needs I looked around to try and find the technical specifications for the HD500 but couldn't find it anywhere
  5. Thanks for the replies: I don't think it's anything to do with the guitar model as the quiet B string is quiet which ever guitar model is in use, good suggestion for the workaround. This does seem to be a recent change to the guitar, I'll have play around with repositioning the B string on the bridge and see what effect that might have...will let you know how I get on Cheers!
  6. Just been playing my JTV-69S for the first time in a few weeks and I've noticed a big difference in volume on the B string, if I switch the guitar to conventional mag pickups the problem goes away. So I assume it's a problem with the piezo pickup on the bridge. So is this likely to be a fault with the stringing of the guitar or a fault with piezo so on the bridge or something else...thoughts/advice much appreciated Thanks
  7. This has probably been done to death...two questions: 1) any idea if Line 6 will provide a nylon string acoustic model? 2) if we won't see this any time soon, any thoughts on how to achieve something like this? I'm using a Jtv69s and an hd500 Ta
  8. Opps, I originally posted this in the wrong place, I hope I've found the correct home for this question now :) I'm suffering a lot of crashes on my Dell M6400 laptop, running with a POD HD500 I used to use this with a pod XT and that was 100% bomb proof :( Anyways...here's what I'm seeing: I open up my laptop, plug in the USB from the HD500 fire up the HD500 edit software This works fine to control and record the HD500 My problem comes with disconnecting and closing the laptop, I am getting frequent crashes BSOD and memory dump and I have to reboot my laptop. So far I've had this happen on unplugging the USB, Clsoing the HD editor, on re-opening the laptop So questions: 1) is there a driver update to make this work as well as my POD XT used to 2) if there isn't whats is the correct procedure for closing down and disconnecting the HD from windows Many thanks for any help!

  10. I'm the proud owner of a shiny new (and now out of date) HD500, I got a good price so I'm still :) I have a question about the effects loop, I want to use this the HD500 with a looper pedal....is the effects loop wet or dry i.e. is it before or after the HD500 applies all its effects and do I have any control over this behaviour Many thanks
  11. OK so after: recoding the guitar, manually tuning to Open G and Open D, and playing very loud (everybody out of the house) and talking to Line6 tech support everything is working as it should :( I am hearing harmonics between the natural tuning on the guitar and the modeled tuning from the amp when playing at normal home/family volumes Suggestions from Line6 play loud, play loud with headphones, try noise cancelling headphones, Very sad, when I described to the shop what I wanted to use the guitar for and the features that were important. I'd have to characterize this as marketing and training issue...kind of spoiling a really good product by selling it to the wrong customer. I haven't decided yet if the guitar is going back to the store or not Thanks for the help
  12. I get what you are saying about the harmonics with the normaly tuned strings on the guitar and I didn't hear this when I demoed in the shop playing through an enormous Orange rig in a booth. However, I can't play like this in a home situation I have the rest of the family and the neigbours to think of ;-) I will try out the recording thing, will also try playing with in ear headphones. Sadly, the alternate tunnings and particularly open tunings are the primary reason I bought the guitar :-( It's such a shame becuase it is a beautifully crafted instrument and lovely to play, in facy much much better than the Roland V-Stratocaster
  13. Yeah, I can confirm that I have this behaviour too....open G is just about OK Open D in unusable
  14. Interesting, I hadn't thought the guitar may be telling me it needs a software update...I will look into that The battery, was charged overnight, no the red light on the charger was not flashing...So I believe the guitar is telling me either: 1) The battery has not charged and still has minimal power in it, the 'Pilots Manual' does state this means less than 1 hour of battery power 2) There is some other problem, that the guitar is trying to tell me about Thanks for the post
  15. I've purchased a Variax JTV69-S in the last few days. It's a quality guitar for sure, with a vast range of sounds and possibilities. It demoed very well in the shop against the Roland V Stratocaster guitars. On bring the guitar home I quickly drained the battery and tried to put it on charge, this uncovered a number of problems: 1) The adapter to power the charger was a dud...checking with a DVM revealed no voltage on the output...the shop immediately apologized and said they would find me another supply I could use and order a new one 2) The battery charger appeared to work with the replacement charger, red LED on power up, red LED on battery insertion for about an hour of charge, charged overnight...upon inserting this in the guitar and checking the battery status it showed one flashing green LED. It doesn't matter how long a charge the battery I still get the same results My question is...is the battery faulty or are the electronics in the guitar faulty? Not sure whether to peruse this with the shop or Line6 But I am pretty disappointed with this :( Thanks for any infor
