  1. ok. i got it now. thanks for 'splainin' that :) so, in reality, then a person would have to always have a laptop or iOS device/MidiMobilizer plugged in if one were to gig without using a POD HD device. This is pretty disappointing since the Hd preamp models can be made to sound great on the DT series, their default states just don't work for me at all. So I would be required to shell out another $70 for the MIDI mobilizer plus the cost of the app ($5 for the TouchOSC or a donation for the DT Customizer) and then have to have the device connected throughout the whole of the time I was playing. :o :(
  2. So, I downloaded the "dtedit" app generously written and shared by a member here to a PC. hooked PC to DT25 head with an M-Audio UNO and all was well. I went through all eight voicing positions and adjusted the amps/cabs and other parameters and had them sounding really good. I then put the DT25 in standby and disconnected the UNO interface. Then flipped the DT25 back to ON and started playing. The sounds were softer and in most cases just didn't sound as good as when the computer/dtedit was connected. question: did I do something wrong in the final sequence? should I have cut the amp to standby then to off first, then disconnected the UNO? Is there a better way to make sure that what I spend my time programming in actually stays put in the DT25? I just want to be able to customize the 8 voicings and have them stay the same, so I don't have to fiddle with knobs each time I switch voicings. I had them all pretty volume leveled too and then when I started playing without the UNO hooked up, I went from terribly quiet Blackface Twin to face melting Soldano...not the same as I set them up! ARGH!!! Any help appreciated. Thanks
  3. you can check a few of my patches i've uploaded recently to customtone, see how to send electric (mags) to the DT25 (or other amp) and the acoustic model (variax model) to a PA/FOH. it's not hard to do and the method i used is based on Sean Halley's great videos and is different than the method mentioned above in this thread. HTH\!
  4. I'd second that. Would be nice to have a subforum for those of us with the whole Rig. I have uploaded a few patches specifically for the DR into CustomTone. As far as I'm aware, there isn't really a specific spot for DR rigs/patches to be loaded which makes one have to search through everything POD HD compatible to find. Can we get another subforum Line6? Thanks!
  5. I have a few patches uploaded for dual tones (tube amp/acoustic switched with the volume pedal) for my JTV69/POD HD500/DT25 in the CustomTone section. Look under hobbes40 and see the most recent few patches. You can use them to see a cool alternative method of structuring patches. I designed them after watching Sean Halley's great video tutorials. Hope this helps!
  6. where are all my old bookmarks?

  7. Hi. Thanks for the reply. The 4 cable method does require using part of the FX loop. This is my problem. Trying to figure the best way to shunt the guitar to the PA for acoustic while having nothing come from the Tweaker....
  8. I have a POD HD500 in the 4CM with my Tweaker 15w head. Sounds great...quite happy with it. The downside is that if using my Variax for acoustic guitars, the 1x12 guitar cab I'm using doesn't sound good. I want to use my Radial ABY pedal to split the signal such that I can choose the Tweaker for electric guitar and then choose to silence the Tweaker and use a signal to a poweramp/PA cab for the acoustic sounds. My question is: any ideas how best to do this and where to put the ABY pedal in the cable connections (or is there another method i'm overlooking)? I really want to have the ability to run one setup or the other but not have both on at the same time. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
