  1. As Mr. Dragon said in his post, the issue i discovered was the failed solder points. As i opened the Helix i found that one or two cables has come loose quite a time ago making the twist for scrolling function not working for months. (Aaaand i discovered that my Helix was in a serious need of an internal clean up) The third cable came loose and the whole joystick died. I had to solder these back in place and strenghtened the solderpoints/small cables by adding some supporting silicone glue. In this way the solder points will not be moved as the joystick is used. this is definitively a weak point on the Helix, wich could be avoided if theese solderpoints/ cables has ben better supported with silicone or hot glue in the first place.
  2. I just did the factory reset. It’s all the same ; the joystick push function is dead. i guess the issue is physical then…
  3. Nope, i will try during this weekend. I hope its just a hiccup so ill try to factory reset
  4. I had the EXACT same issue after updating from fw 3 to 3.11. No extra strain to the unit, and no different feeling to the joystick. It just fail to react to the push-action. VERY strange timing for a physical failure to my Helix floor
  5. I have the exact same issue on my Helix Floor unit. (attatced mp3) Latest FW (2.92.0) The Helix is somewhat unusable for recording as this issue is right now. The noise is produced by the unit. Example file is my Taylor acoustic, but i have the same issue with my electrics. Anyone heard of any solution for this? Helix Floor Hiss.mp3
  6. Doesn't seem to be any updates done to the reciever. I've been quite happy with the G70 (after some previous well needed fw updates), but this doesn't seem to be a prioritized product for Line 6. Unfortunately.
  7. Just a thought; wouldn't it be possible to use an Boss EV-30 to solve the auto engage thing? (I haven't tried that pedal myself yet) The ev-30 has two separate outputs, and my thought is to make one output turn on the wah block at - lets say value 0,1 / off at 0,0 (or something) , while the other output controlling the sweep? Has anybody tried this out? https://www.boss.info/us/products/ev-30/
  8. Hi. I don't think you should be all that hung up in these reviews. I personally NEVER review items purchased myself - but I keep in touch with the manufacturer. I don't think these issues with the G70 has slipped by Line 6 at all! All these drop out issues are still there - and they are well reviewed at forums and other places on the web. Judging by the releases of FW updates there aren't much done by Line 6 to help out. It seems that they hardly been working on the Relay G 70 systems at all after release years ago. On other items from other manufacturers FW updates are released constantly to improve these items. Due to constant issues on my G70 AND the fact that FW aren't updated in a loooong while, I feel forced to return my G 70. Which is too bad I think. The G 70 is a GREAT idea and both transmitter and receiver seem to have a rock solid built. But when this gear messes up my paid gigs the way they do, i just have to stop using them and change into a wireless that works.
  9. "The phones output is not quite suited for connecting live monitors though" Why not? Because the phones output is for a stereo jack. I would need a splitter for sending out l/r-signal to my two K10s, making this output like the already present two 1/4’’ output jacks at the back of the Helix. Unbalancet line out that would be then.
  10. Thanx for quick reply guys! The xlr and 1/4» outs suits me perfectly good as they both are balanced outputs. The phones output is not quite suited for connecting live monitors though. I can’t quite see why i would need to have the choise to monitor the xlr vs the 1/4» physical outs through my headphones. Having the option to seperate the XLRs through the main volume knob to FOH and the balanced 1/4» outs through the phones’ volume knob to stage monitors (or the other way around) would make far more sense in an live D.I. to FOH enviroment though. At least the way i use the Helix. I thought maby there was a bug making assignment of the «phones» knob to the 1/4» outs impossible 🤨
  11. For live use i connect the XLRs to the FOH and I use the 1/4" outs for my QSC k10 for monitoring. I've discovered the need for a separate volume control/knob for my monitors without affecting the P.A. / FOH level. In the "Global settings" it seems that I can route the volume knob to only XLR outs - that works fine. The 1/4" outs then hits full output to my monitors without any way for controlling the volume output from the Helix. Routing the Phones to 1/4" nothing happens to the 174" out levels. I've tried to route the other way around (Volume knob only controlling the 1/4"). The XLR outs are then on full output volume and can't be controlled by the Phones knob, even when this knob is routed to "XLR". It seems that only the Volume knob is "working". Phones volume knob seems stuck to controlling only the phones stereo 1/4" output. Anyone had any experience on how to route the Volume knob to "master" L/R XLR outs and the Phones vol knob to the "master" L/R 1/4" outs? Im running FW version 2.30.0

  13. You might get my point though. With the option to route the AUX directly to the output, this input would get some extra usage. ( My post you refer to as deleted was not ment to be posted in the first place anyway - but thanx for the history lesson :-D ) By the way - The lack of this kind of input was not at all the reason why i traded The Axe Fx for an Kemper ( <3 ). For me, the Helix is the most user friendly unit though, and has in a short time managed to be my absolute favourite digital guitar rig for all my gigging situations. My only objection is the labeled AUX input and the routing - wich i clearly have misinterpret. I thought this would be an input for line leveled devices more than an "guitar input 2".
