Today we are going over how I developed a dual amp metal tone with the Line 6 Helix Rack using Ownhammer Impulses. I walk you through my process as well as give some sound examples throughout. I ended up using the both the Line 6 Badonk amp model as well as the Revv Red amp model which of course is modeled after the Revv Generator 120. I used Ownhammer IRs and specifically one from their true stereo Zilla 412 pack that uses vintage 30 speakers and a Royer 121 mic.

This is a tone using the Line 6 Orignal Badonk Model with Rosen Digital Impulse Responses Chain: PRS Tremonti SE loaded with Fishman Fluence Moderns Line 6 Helix using the Line 6 Badonk amp model. IR's are Rosen Digital Impulse Responses. It is a blend of: Mesa OS Rectifier-1 and EVH 5150-1 Into the Universal Audio Apollo Twin which feeds Presonus Studio One 3 all the lovely tones. Drums are courtesy of Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

Hi guys, Man, Line 6 did an INCREDIBLE job with that Badonk amp model. I honestly feel that for heavy music that amp model is my favorite amp in the Helix now. I used to be a big fan of the Big Bottom amp so naturally this one suits me well. The improvement however is definitely there. To me it feels and sounds more realistic and warm while still maintaining that HUGE crunch! Paired with the OwnHammer 412 Recto V70B it's just incredible..... I'm also digging the new Obsidian 7000 (Darkglass B7k) bass drive pedal. Anyway, so I made a video about these new features. Hope you enjoy this one! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhdb2LUHATc
