iamgeorge posted a topic in HelixHey guys, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjmTf31MAe8 Not sure what effect this is, does anyone know? Also, I assume this type of effect can have the tempo adjusted accordingly to suit? Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, is this effect available on the Helix? The effect comes in at around the 0:16 mark.. To me, it’s not quite flanger/not quite phaser.. kinda like a helicopter, or something.. Thanks.
FarleyUK posted a topic in HelixHi guys, I've been playing around with trying to create an IR based on the recorded guitar tone Slash has on the UYI and Spaghetti Incident albums. Brand new to this, but think I've got it fairly close... I used Voxengo, Reaper and Ozone 7 to EQ match with the guitar track - feel free to give the IR a spin from here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46739309/UYI.wav As I said, it's my first attempt, so please be gentle....!
Hi all, new on here, but long time XTLive owner and now proud Helix man! Anyway, I have always loved the Kirk Hammett and Slash style wah, used a Vox Chrome for years and then the model of it on the XT. Generally happy with that, but given the flexibility of the Helix I now want more. I know there are the custom versions out there, but does anyone have any tips for thickening a wah sound, maybe with a graphic eq before then turning that block on as the wah is engaged??? Thanks in advance Ritchie
Hi guys! I'm fairly new to the Line 6 community and I'm looking to find a genuine slash tone. I know you guys probably get a ton of these posts, but I haven't been able to find a tone that sounds like Slash's on AFD. I know my amp comes with a preset Sweet Child tone, but it isn't like slash. Could it be my guitar and/or pickups? I tried turning tone knobs all the way down on the guitar and it is a little bit closer to slash's tone, but not quite. I have a Spider IV 120W 2x10 Combo Amp and I'm playing with an Epiphone LP Traditional Pro. Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!
