  1. So, I have a Spider 3 120 and I tried using a distortion pedal with it, the input was this: Guitar - pedal input, pedal output to amp input I tweaked settings of both the pedal and the amp, cables weren't broken and neither was the pedal or its battery/power supply as I used all of them after with a different amp and they worked flawlessly. Any advice to get pedals (not wah/modulation etc) to work with the spider 3 120?
  2. Hey, hope someone can help me....tried searching but wasn't able to find exactly what I'm looking for. I recently picked up a used Line 6 Spider III amp. Love it....I've been looking for a Line 6 amp for awhile now, and this one just kinda fell on my lap. I already have a Line 6 KB1 with pod farm I picked up years ago for my PC, but I wanted the amp for actual gigging. My PC setup just won't cut it! ; ) Anyway....I'm looking for a footboard controller that I'll be able to use with this amp. I'd like something that I can hook up to my PC and edit sounds then download them to the amp...I believe the FBV3 will do this? Can I use it with an older Line 6 amp? The amp does have the Ethernet style FBV controller jack. Like I said, I bought it used with no manuals....I did find the manual online, but it doesn't tell me much as far as newer Line 6 technology goes... What's the best footboard for this amp? Thanks in advance for any insight.... Cheers! PK
  3. Hi i am new to the forums here but i am in search of help/direction from anyone that may be able to help me. I have a spider 3 150 watt amp and use a FBV Express MKII pedal with it. The pedal has been acting up and of course i thought it was the pedal itself. However i plugged my pedal into a friends line 6 and it works just fine.. so i plugged his (he has the exact same pedal) into my amp and his did not work either. my CAT cable is fine for we also switched those. so i assume it is the jack itself or the little board in there that is the issue. the input itself looks fine. no broken fingers or anything. anyone ever have problems like this? anyone know where i can find these parts? thanks for any help i can get!
  4. Literally desperate at this point guys,if anyone could help me find a site where to buy the fuse you would be a lifesaver.
  5. I recently acquired a used Spider III 150 and have been searching for documentation. It seems there once were great documents put together by one forum member Gav1n about 6 years ago. I have been able to piece some of the together but would like to know if anyone has these original lists archived? There is a similar list on Docstoc under "Line 6 - Spider Amp Preset List" with a great stab at all settings... Line 6 Support has a multi-page bank and preset list but it is only that, a list. Thanks in advance - I'd hate to ignore a good and functioning piece of legacy Line 6 equipment! torontogold
  6. Hi, I've had my spider III, 75watt for a few years now. It's been fine apart from the plastic nut that holds the MP3 line in comes off regularly. however I've made sure it's been locked in fine recently. However after what I can assume to be a power cut a couple of weeks ago, the MP3-in/ Line-in, instead of playing the input aloud it simply sends out a full volume buzzing feedback noise as soon as the jack is in. It doesn't matter if the volume on the input is mute or if the guitar jack is in also, when in only guitar mode it amps it the guitar fine, full range treble to bass. I'm thinking there may be a separate fuse for the MP3-in line, which has now blown maybe? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and managed to sort it, i'm thinking it's gunna be a take apart job? Any help would be Great! Thanks a lot.
