So, I have a Spider 3 120 and I tried using a distortion pedal with it, the input was this: Guitar - pedal input, pedal output to amp input I tweaked settings of both the pedal and the amp, cables weren't broken and neither was the pedal or its battery/power supply as I used all of them after with a different amp and they worked flawlessly. Any advice to get pedals (not wah/modulation etc) to work with the spider 3 120?

Hi, all. My Spider III 15W amp has a great built-in clean delay/flange sound when it gets powered on. I'm trying to figure out how to recreate this sound on a modeling amp. For now, I'm trying out a Fender Mustang LT25, though I'm not sure if I'll keep it and go for some other modeling amp, maybe one of the current Spiders. Having difficulty tweaking the right settings on my LT25 to get close to the Spider III preset, but maybe someone here has figured it out.

Hi all. Bought a brand new FBV 3 for my son's Spider III 150HD. All compatibility documents seem to show full compatibility. Pedal is fully functional EXCEPT all presets save instead of switching. I am completely baffled. When pressing each button on the FBV3 (i.e. A, B, C or D) the display reads "saving" and saves the current patch to it. Simple right? Well, when pressing any and all of the buttons, they always save....never switch. I am obviously missing something simple....I hope? I have documented the issue in a YouTube vid here: https://youtu.be/fgqimL1-Bgw Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right place for this but I'm in need of some help desperately and was hoping someone could give me an idea or two. I got a used Spider III 15 W amp today. It was advertised as needing repair or having a problem. When you turn the amp on you hear nada. The only time you hear anything is on the metal channel and it is an extremely faint noise. I have tried both the channel volume and the master volume trying to turn them about half way and ended up maxing them both out with no change at all. The speaker doesn't crackle or give any signs of a busted speaker. I did take a look at the speaker and board and physically nothing looks off. Anyone ever have any problems like this with any amp, including this one? I hope I can get it to working. Thanks. Any additional info I can add later. Wanted to update on what else has gone on. I tried to swap out the speakers thinking maybe the speaker had blown but that is not the case. I have been informed elsewhere that it is likely a circuit board problem so was wondering if anyone could point in the right direction. At this point I'm likely going to go seek someones help at a store or just leave it alone. Sucks to have just got an amp today that I can't even use

I have a spider III 15 that was given to me. It apparently had a bad amplifier chip that I replace. Now it works but am only getting a signal from the earphone jack and not thru the speaker. Anyone have suggestions on what other component drives the speaker?

I am new to this forum, and to Line 6 products. I have recently purchased a Spider III HD 150 Half Stack, with the Line 6 4X12 cab. I understand the head is stereo, 75 watts per side. What I am not clear about, is connecting to the cab. Is it possible to get the full 150 watts? Is it possible to run MONO. I read somewhere that you have to connect two cables from the amp to the cab, or risk damaging the amp. Is that true? The online manuals I have found did not address this. Is there somewhere I can access a better users manual? Any help y'all can give me about correctly using this AWESOME amp, would be appreciated. Thanks, SXHAWK

Hi. Recently I purchased a second hand Spider III 75. I like almost everything about it: the sound is great, exactly what I need. But I faced a problem. I usually use additional effect pedals with my amps for more flexibility with the sound. But this amp does no have effect loop, so my delay and modualtion pedals sound very dirty if I plug them in input, Is there any possibility to install effect loop? I asked a friend of mine, who is knowledgeable about the subject, if he can do it. But he said he needs a scheme or something for that. Waiting for your responses Thank you in advance, P.S. I am from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, so there is no possibility to contact a dealer or a service center, because there is none within 1000 miles. :)

Hello fellow forum members, I just bought a Spider III HD150 head (on its own) and now am looking for a 212 cab to buy. A 412 is not an option now, it may be too big for my car to carry around (we're gigging a lot). So after reading many entries, my (very n00b) questions are: - can this head be run in mono mode? I mean I just did (on a gig), I hooked it to a H&K 212 and fortunately I didn't blow the amp. But may this happen at all? - do you know any not-too-expensive 2*12 cabs that may fit with this amp (technically speaking)? It's not easy to fin 212's with two 8 ohm inputs stereo. Thanks a lot!

I recently acquired a used Spider III 150 and have been searching for documentation. It seems there once were great documents put together by one forum member Gav1n about 6 years ago. I have been able to piece some of the together but would like to know if anyone has these original lists archived? There is a similar list on Docstoc under "Line 6 - Spider Amp Preset List" with a great stab at all settings... Line 6 Support has a multi-page bank and preset list but it is only that, a list. Thanks in advance - I'd hate to ignore a good and functioning piece of legacy Line 6 equipment! torontogold

is there not a way to connect my MKII Shortboard via USB and download new tones to use on my Spider III 150w amp head? ALSO, isn't there a way I can connect the MKII and "fine tune" my effects I currently have on there? for example: custom naming my banks/presets... etc etc. just getting started on this and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ace

I recently bought a Spider IV and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can transfer my Spider III users channels to my Spider IV? Or maybe some sort of save to my computer and upload... I'm registered with Line 6 and have the Line 6 Monkey, Lilne 6 FBV Control and Spider IV Edit, too
