  3. How do I access the Catalyst Edit Software? Go to Line6.com, and click on the "Downloads" tab. Select your Catalyst amp model from the Hardware dropdown, then select "Catalyst Edit” from the Software dropdown, and select your operating system/hardware (i.e. Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS, Android). What devices can I use the Catalyst Edit on? Catalyst Edit was designed to work on Quad Platform Architecture (QPA), meaning it can be used on Windows desktop or full-fledged laptop Computers, Mac computers, i-Phone/i-Pad devices, and Android phones and tablets. System requirements - MacOS 10.14 or newer, Windows 7 or newer, iOS (iPhone/iPad) 12.1 or newer, or Android™ OS 6.0 or newer. For optimal USB audio performance on Windows computers, download and install the free Line 6 CATALYST ASIO driver from line6.com/software. USB Host Mode differs on many devices, so Catalyst Edit may not be compatible on all Android devices. How can I determine which version of the Catalyst Firmware I have on my amp? Make sure you have downloaded the most recent version of "LIne6 Updater". Connect your Catalyst amp to a computer/device via USB, and open the Updater. Your amplifier should be displayed, and the Firmware version indicated as below: What does Catalyst Edit Allow me to do? 6. I recently purchased the ToneCore DSP Developer kit and I'd like to locate demo code to try out on the pedal. Short of taking the programming route, does anyone know of any code that I could upload to the pedal. I've already uploaded the 2-band equalizer and it functions normally but now I have a desire to explore additional examples before I take up the DSP programming aspect of the pedal.

Marketplace lets you purchase custom Helix presets and impulse responses (IRs) created by select third-party development partners. You can browse by product or developer, listen to audio examples, and even watch demo videos if provided. Checkout is a breeze and you can pay with either credit card or PayPal. Why was Marketplace created? Our primary goal was to develop Helix as an open platform that will serve you for many years to come. We believe that will be best accomplished by supporting a vibrant, thriving community of third-party developers that continually expand the sonic and creative capabilities of Helix, HX, and now POD Go, products. Can anyone become a Marketplace partner? Our goal is to provide you with high-quality products and a great overall experience. For these reasons, we will carefully curate Marketplace and include only partners that we feel meet those expectations. What kinds of products are available on Marketplace? Marketplace offers impulse response files (IRs) and presets. These products will be sold individually and within collections or bundles, for example multiple impulse response files of the same amplifier with different microphones. The exact contents of each product are described on the respective Marketplace shop page. Can I use the Helix Presets in my POD Go? No, POD Go cannot accept Helix or HX presets. How much do Marketplace products cost? Pricing is determined entirely by the third-party developer, and we expect most products will sell for between $5 and $50. Can Marketplace products be returned? Yes. Our standard 15-day return policy applies. Returned Marketplace products will be deactivated once you log out and back in. Will there be free products as well? Some developers may offer free products for promotional purposes. Please check Marketplace listings on a regular basis. Can I still load non-Marketplace presets and IRs? Of course. Marketplace simply provides a convenient way to purchase additional resources and access them at any time. Will Custom Tone be removed? Not to worry. Custom Tone will still be available without changes. Who provides customer support for third-party products? Please contact third-party developers regarding setup and usage of their Helix presets and impulse responses. Third party contact information can be found on corresponding product pages within Marketplace. Contact Line 6 regarding Helix products generally, and questions involving the Marketplace online shop - including billing issues and difficulties downloading or importing presets and IRs. Which Line 6 products work with Marketplace products? Helix Floor, Helix Rack/Control, Helix LT, Helix Native, HX Stomp, HX Effects and POD Go. Do I need a specific firmware and software version to use Marketplace products? Yes. You need these versions (or higher) to support Marketplace: Helix/HX firmware v2.9 HX Edit v2.9 Helix Native v1.9 POD Go firmware version 1.1 POD Go Edit version 1.1 Will you add support for other Line 6 products, y’know, like Powercab? We cannot discuss future development plans at this time. I purchased a Marketplace item and cannot find the software download. Where do I need to look? You can find all your Marketplace downloads on the “Helix Marketplace” page within your Line 6 account. The link to this page is located in the “Hardware & Software” section on the main account page. We also provide a link directly to this page within the “How to Authorize Your Line 6 Product” email that you receive after any Marketplace purchase. Can I use items purchased through Marketplace with non-Line 6 products? All third-party items sold through Marketplace are copy-protected and require HX Edit software, POD Go Edit software or the Helix Native plug-in to work. For this reason, they cannot be used with modeling devices or software from other manufacturers. How does this copy protection method work? Do I need additional hardware or dongles? Products purchased through Marketplace are automatically activated when imported into HX Edit, POD Go Edit or Helix Native. The activation process requires internet connectivity upon first use. The computer that was used for import gets authorized in the process, and no additional hardware or dongles are needed. How many licenses do I get? Can I share these licenses with others? We allow up to four individual computers to be authorized. If you own multiple hardware units, you can update all units without affecting license count. Finally, licenses are tied to your Line 6 user account and cannot be shared with others. Activation requires internet connectivity. How often will I need an internet connection? You will need to have an active internet connection every time you use a newly purchased product. The connection is needed so that our system can validate your license. Once a product was used at least once, the system remembers its state and will allow usage offline without internet access. I discovered that POD Go Edit, HX Edit and Helix Native require Line 6 account log-in. Why is this necessary? You will be asked to log into your Line 6 account if you work with third party products purchased through Marketplace. Log in is only required for the system to install or synchronize licenses, for example when importing third party Helix presets for the first time*. Log in will not be required if you do not use presets or IRs purchased through Marketplace. * On Windows systems, you may need to be online at all times in order to import and export Marketplace presets and IRs. What are the most common uses for IRs? The most common use for an IR that you will see is to replace a Cabinet model with your own third party Cabinet IR. This allows you to use a third-party sound mixed in with your favorite Helix amp tones. The IR in this case will usually include everything about the cabinet model as part of the sound, including: speaker type, mics used, mic placement, room sound. The other way you might see IRs being used is for the purpose of an acoustic simulator, especially modeling the EQ of an acoustic guitar sound. You may see some of these in your preset packs, or offered by third parties as part of a preset bundle. Can I buy dog food, tequila, or 19th-century expressionist paintings via Marketplace? What? No.

  11. I got my HD500x today, but I've been trying to download the edit software for the past week... And it will not download. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is there a way around it? Oh and I have a mac.
  12. Hey guys, Can i still download tones from the Custom tone section for my largely obsolete Spider Valve mk2? I don't see my amp pictured anymore so wondering is it still supported, if so can i just download tones for another amp?

  14. Sorry to bother y'all, I know this is a basic question... I bought my Helix July 14th and want to start downloading patches from the site but, after watching videos and looking at other forums, I still cannot figure out how to properly set things up. I have downloaded the Line 6 Updater as well as the Helix sidebar thing for dragging and dropping patches. However, after hooking the helix up to the computer and trying to drag and drop a few patches, errors kept coming up and failed to download. Clearly I technology is not my strong suit... do I just need to update something? Please help! Thank you
  15. I have found myself in the unfortunate situation where I have totally destroyed the laptop (including the hard drive) that I used to connect to and edit my Helix. Fortunately, the Helix itself survived, thanks to its rugged construction. But now I need to install the Editor, Updater, Native, and audio playback drivers on my new laptop. I did happen to save my Setlists and IRs to cloud storage; but have made many changes and added a few presets since the last save. I do not want to lose any changes since my last save. The Editor installation instructions are very clear that you have to reset globals and presets, and use your *existing* editor to backup your presets and IRs if you want to save them - well, of course, I don't *have* an existing editor on the new laptop. How can I transfer the current Setlists and IRs from my Helix to my new laptop?
  16. Hi everybody ! The Line 6 Software section (https://line6.com/software/) is actually unavailable but I really need the FBV Control software quickly. Is there another link to download the software please ? Thanks !
  17. Hi, I am about to buy a used UX2 from Amazon and I am not sure if the software is with it or not. Can this software that lists with it (or other software) be downloaded. I am especially interested in Ableton live or recording software that comes with it or might be useful (example drum software, etc)? Thank you!
  18. Hello guys, Check out a cool tone I made and let me know what you think!
  19. My big Question is .... Did the CUSTOM TONES site stop posting Downloads in the page. Spider Jam only. So the bigger question do i have a account? YES.... what is going on? Do i need to have a older computer? Has this been discontinue services.? Has anyone else had or having this problem?
  20. Oddly I cannot download the HD500 Edit software. I've tried multiple browsers (turning off all adblocking, etc.) as well as through the Monkey interface. No matter what I do the download initializes but will sit at 0.0 kb. Anyone know what's going on? Is there an alternative link I could try instead? EDIT: Oddly I can download it without problem on my machine at work.
  21. Please be aware that downloaded tones, patches and presets that were created by other users have the potential to be corrupted and not work correctly on the target device. Firewall/Antivirus/Internet security applications, Internet/video accelerators and proxy servers, among other things, can be causes of trouble with downloaded files. If your device freezes, a rule of thumb is to back up your custom patches, reset the unit to its factory state, ensure the unit does not freeze while in this state, then load your patches one by one, testing after each load to determine which patch is faulty. Otherwise, please contact our Customer Support team at www.Line6.com/support/tickets. Please be prepared to supply your backup file so that we can investigate your case further.
  22. Hey guys, I recently got a POD HD500. I've finally managed to get the edit software to open and change tones about. My friend got a pod hd500 before me, and I dialled his tone in. I tried to manually dial the same thing in, but it sounds terrible in comparison. SO, i took the tone, put it onto my laptop and send it to MY pod, it STILL sounds horrible. Whats going on??? Is this a software issue???????
  23. Can anyone tell me, Is it possible to take a tone from the amplifi TT cloud and download that tone to the Pod HD Pro X? Thanks In Advance
  24. Hi, I just saw that PayPal is not listed as a pay method for downloads... Anybody knows the reason why? Also I wanted to ask if someone can send me the install file for the bass expansion pack, but I think it is not allowed here to ask... So forget my last sentence. cheers
  25. I'd like to download a ukulele tone to my JT Variax 69. There aren't any so I thought I might try modifying a mandolin tone. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's the lack of organization of the material on this site, or just possibly one can't download new tones to a JT Variax. But if someone would let me know if it's possible and, if so, how it's done, I'd appreciate it. Also, I just looked at the software downloads and note that the Variax HD upgrade is not available. Did they take it off the shelf because it's that bad?
